Thanks a lot for your nice remarks Arpurchase, everything is noticeable with the camera, I had not released there was so much dust on the build bench so I have been busy with the hover and will have to keep her covered from now on.

Thanks very much Steve and Alan. Work is progressing all be it slowly. I am concentrating on fitting out the lower gun deck now in an effort to get it closed up in order to reduce the dust surfaces.
All the best guys,
Sandy

Got back to building again, lots to do.
First 10 canon fitted to Lower Gun Deck only 18 to go then the lights.
Anchor trundlehead and messenger cable for raising the anchor.
I also secured the bowsprit to a stump of the foremast and deck plate. There are plenty decks above to secure the rest of the foremast.

Just saw this and could not believe it's SOS. It looks absolutely brilliant.

Time is always a show stopper to most peoples hobbies but keep at this one because you have something very special coming together here.

Happy modelling

Stern Chasers,
I have found that with a bit of cut and paste I can make the larger Stern Chasers using the half canons supplied.

What a brilliant model you have taking shape here.

Very clever idea with the stern chaser guns and very well executed.

Happy modelling

Thanks Alan,
I needed canons to be the right scale length for stern counter on the middle gun deck and had made some but the quality of the castings just was not there. These ones are about 1.5mm to long but I can live with that. After I chopped of the end of the barrel I drilled a hole in the stump matching that of the half canons and mounted barrel end as per the mag.
