Issue 111 has a lot of work to be done so thought I would post this one in stages.... Started off by doing some more delicate paint work on the ornamentation, once painted everything got a coat of clear gloss varnish...Cool Cool .. Fitted some of the ornamentation starting with the 5 crowns on the bow bulkhead... had a bit of a disaster here, one of the crowns dropped and fell into the hole for the bowsprit never to be seen again... Have a choice here, forget about the last crown and do without, try to carve one out of scrap wood or order a back issue to get a replacement....Blushing Blushing .. Think the back issue is looking favourite... Lesson here, cover holes before fitting tiny pieces....Huh Huh ..

Next I used the shaping tool on the 3x3 strip and painted with undercoat and gold paint... cut 20 x 8mm sections and fitted them under the base of the stern gallery. Also fitted one of the ornamentation pieces to the stern and to be honest where it is under the chainwale platform means it is not very visible which is a shame considering the amount of work that went into it.... still, that's where the instructions say it goes.... Cool Cool Next up is to do the same for the other side before fitting gun port lids and making up all the mast sections..... Cool Cool Happy building all...

Regards

Alan

BigGrin Hi Alan

Very nice work as always, as for hatches there like very hungry carpet gremlins and will swallow anything given the chance.
