It is my first build but I know for certain it won't be my last.... not sure what I will take on next, have plenty to choose from and the decision will not be an easy one.... You never know, I may just poll the members to see what they would like to see next, just a thought.. .. Thanks again Steve... Regards Alan

Hi all, today I finally managed to complete issue 116 with the completion of tying in all the ratlines on the lower shrouds.... Actually tying all the ratlines for me was a very relaxing task but will say for those thinking of doing it the same way, be prepared for the task to be lengthy one.... .. I actually feel the task was very worthwhile though and am happy with the way it all turned out.... .. Final part of this issue was to tie in the catharping ropes between the port and starboard shrouds... .. Tomorrow will make a start on issue 117 which no doubt will be another lengthy session..... Happy building all.. Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Do think the work load each issue has increased quite dramatically and progress as a result is slowing down but am so pleased with the way it is all turning out.... Thanks again.... Regards Alan

Hi Alan Just popped in to see your build and certainly worth the look. I'm so impressed it's hard to get the right words to describe what a terrific job you have done since I last looked in. Everything looks so very professional and will be hard for most to duplicate your work. All the best Alan till another time. Regards George Building HMS SOTS

Regards George Thanks George, it's great to hear from you again and thanks for those very kind words, appreciated.... .. Going to be a little while yet before posting again, have had a lot of things to deal with just now outside of modelling plus the fact I'm waiting for some 4mm deadeyes to turn up. .. The other problem I had was on the main mast when fitting the second set of shrouds, in my heavy handedness I applied too much tension to the shrouds and the second section collapsed straight down so had to remove the shrouds and sort that problem out..... .. Happy to say am back on track now although a little behind but its not a race is it..... .. Thanks again and look forward to your return later in the year..... Regards alan
