Hi Alan, BigGrin

Double Cool as always and the finish line must be coming into sight.

A long journey, but looks like you enjoyed every minute.

Any ideas of display case yet, or is it secret.Huh

Thanks as always for looking in Derek...Cool Cool .. Just finishing off issue 117, delayed with having a couple of mishaps but back on track now.. Still have another 17 issues to get through yet before reaching the end. Hopefully will post an update tomorrow. Cool Cool .. As for a display case, this build will be going to my son who wants to have small LED lights fitted to the case, it will then be displayed in his hallway lit up in the evenings.... Will have to start some research soon to see what I can find.... Thanks again...

Regards

Alan

I guess all you have left is the rigging. does she have sales too?

I have run out of descriptive positives for this build Alan I have no doubt that your son will spend much more time in his hall once he has this on display

Hi Alan BigGrin .
Your rigging looks like the bees knees Drool and if I could do half as well as you I would be a very happy bunny.
Great job and best regards.

Well finally finished issue 117 after a few distractions that couldn't be avoided....Blink Blink .. This one started with the fitting of some brass etch to already fitted ornamentation. Found these almost impossible to fit so ordered pick up tools as recommended by Mr T, now I wouldn't be without them, excellent tool for dealing with those tiny items....Cool Cool

http://www.shesto.co.uk/...-Tool/product_info.html

Moved onto fitting more brass etch to the beak section, this was a little more straight forward....Cool Cool . Next task was to fit the futtocks and shrouds to the second mast sections. Here I had some trouble, trouble of my own making and realised the problem was down to tension.. Having never rigged a ship before I was a little heavy handed in applying too much tension, so much so the second section of the fore and main masts collapsed downwards... No breakages but did require the removal of shrouds and resetting the masts in place, this time ensuring they were securely glued....Blushing Blushing . This obviously set me back a little....Blushing Blushing .. Second attempt was much better, got used to how much tension to apply. Finally fished off with the tying a multitude of knots for the ratlines. Now am happy with how it all turned out....Cool Cool .. Now moving forward and have made a start on issue 118..... Happy building all..

Regards

Alan
