Hi Guys, I'm a bit behind the curve here as I'm getting my kit from "over there." I had to be the first kid on the block here to get this though! I'll have my next 2 shipments here in a week or so, and then I'll get rolling. I wanted to start this blog though, as motivation to keep up with the build. Pics soon! Tired, Old, and Cranky!

Alll righty! I'll soon have 2 of these bad boys going, one as Han's ride, and the other as the "Stellar Envoy." This one is to be the SE. It was used during the Clone Wars, long before it was Han Solo's. The paint scheme is a very attractive one, with a medium blue band around the outer hull, and some panels also picked out in the same blue. Since it was around as a passenger vessel long before it started smuggling, I am eliminating all the battle damage as molded in the MF guise. Lotsa bondo, and glazing compound. The results are pretty good! The hard part was getting the large blown out section at the elbow of the cockpit passageway to fair in, and yet keep the plating separate. There is a bit of roughness at the bottom of the groove I'm not happy with though. I also rotated the porthole framing to make it consistent with the bulk of the photos as found in the Haynes Falcon book. The pics: experten attached the following image(s): Tired, Old, and Cranky!

That is just Tamiya "extra fine" primer. I'll wait til the last, bitter end to fully paint it. Having done large scale armor, and failed miserably at weathering piecemeal, I'll paint and weather it all in one go. Thanks Dave, and Carl for the look-in! Tired, Old, and Cranky!
