More planking for the hull and the bevelled armour belt strip applied. Ensure the bevelled edge of the armour strips align with the stepped edge at the tops of the frames (not higher or lower), the strip will run F5-F13 where the bevel then fades out at both ends. The gradual closing up of the hull, fitting of the two boat hanger ports and the fitting of the deck level strips. The tops of the two metal boat hanger ports need to be made flush with the tops of the stern frames, the aircraft deck will lie over the top. The bow planking is stepped back along the hull and will be shaped/angled to the correct height later on. Don't level the 18mm wide side strips with the tops of the frames, (the decks drop into the hull rather than sit upon the side strips), when the decks are fitted the height of the side strips is then adjusted to suit. Angled fillet for the Keel added. The hull is marked in readyness for use with hull profile templates, though its not possible to do the final profiling of the hull until the decks are in place where the deck line is then be profiled. Tomick attached the following image(s):

Fitting of the Bow and Stern deck plates. The bow deck plate sits on top of its ply base which in turn sits on top of the planked hull sides, though you'll need to mark the inside of hull sides with base and deck together to get the correct bow height/shape. The bow block is tapered to follow the line of the deck slope backwards, later on the decks drop into the hull rather than sit upon the planked sides. The Stern deck plate needs to be carefully trimmed to fit, and is easier to mark and trim if you do it before gluing the two wood side strips. Tomick attached the following image(s):

Fitting of the decks is straight forward, there is a central plank guide line which aids alignment, once the decks are in place the hull sides can then be adjusted to meet with the deck height of the deck. I left the stern aircraft deck off for now which will aid painting of the stern area, the forward deck was primed to prevent tarnish. The hull is profiled to shape with the aid of the templates as a guide. Tomick attached the following image(s):

I little diversion from the Hull build to start with the build of the guns, two of the main gun turrets are identical, the third does not have gun positions on top of the turret. I found it easier and better placement to use a full span of rod across each of main turets rather than locating bits of rod into the side holes. The two smaller guns are identiacal, lateron all of these guns will have railings secured to there tops. Photo-etched brass ladders are added for depth and all turrets primed ready for gun and railing placement later on. Tomick attached the following image(s):
