BigGrin Hi All

I have been quietly collecting this printer since it came on sale and now am just awaiting the last three packs to arrive when it drops through my door I will be doing a mega build of the printer from start to finish. More soon.

Green with envy... I ordered 5 minutes after release and I'm still waiting for Pack 10 to arrive (fortunately already on its way)... I guess the packagers noticed I have too many partworks subscribed and they are staggering the deliveries so it's easier on my pocket ;-)

Hi All

Here we go stage 1 this deals with attaching reinforcing plates to the table base to stiffen it up and then adding the upper table that floats on springs to the lower table finally in issue 1 we add the 1st limit switch. more soon.

Hi All

Stage 2starts witth making up and adding the motor mount on the rear plate then adding a fan and noise filter again the last job is fitting another limit switch. Dont worry I did reattach the fan in its correct position latter on.

Hi All

Stage 3 begins with adding another limit switch and reinforcing plate to where the spool of filament will be attached. Next comes the fun part making up the enclosure box the tip here is to keep everything loosely done up until the jig as attached then tighten everything up in the prescribed sequence. Finally we attach the lead screw to the table. More soon.

Pack 6 is where we add the final two slide rods and drive belts and then attach the sliders to the drive belts with clamps.

Hi All

Stage 8 is where we attach the thermal probe to the printer head then add the cable tidy to the printer head cables. the next job is to add the two motors that will power the drive shafts.

Pack 9 is where we attach the printer head to the slider rods then add the top piece and then start to add the electronic components along with preparing the cable runs with cable ties. Finally we attach the last motor to the rear of the printer.

Hi All

Pack 10 is where more electronic components are added and the power tested to the board after that the power transformer is added along with its cabling. More cables are added and lastly the two linear bushes are added to the rear of the printer table.

They provide several items with the printer that you can print off like an phone case once I have used one or two of these to test it out it will be time to make some stuff for my models. Thanks for looking in and your comments.
