Stage 6

Your Parts:- Feedwater main body, feedwater ends, holder, upper plate and screws.

Take the feedwater body and the two end pieces noting that ene piece 'A' is attached to the end with the narrow strip. Press the pieces gently together and apply some glue around the parts from inside the unit. Next take the smokebox and deck assembly from stage 5 and prepare to attach the feedwater unit. I fitted the feedwater unit to the deck first and then added the holder to the deck with the screws. Once the holder is screwed in place carefully position the upper plate and then glue it in position.

Save any unused parts in a bag labeled with the stage number for future use.

Stage complete.

Stage 8

Your parts:- Inspection lids, steps, hanging brackets and screws.

Take the inspection lids and glue the two steps to each part. Next take the smoke box assembly and add the pre-shaped diamond plate from stage 5 to the front deck, turn the assembly over and add the two hanging brackets to the front plate. I found the holes and brackets were a tight fit so you may need to enlarge the holes in the plate slightly with a small file. Once the brackets are fitted line up the front beam with the brackets and fix in place using the 2 x 5 mm screws.

Next take the two inspection plates and add them to the deck using the 2 x 3 mm screws, attach it only on the inner edges for now with two screws. Take the two white painted deck sides from stage 5 and line them up with the deck making sure they slide in between the deck and inspection lid. When the side decks are in position fix them in place with the remaining 2 x 3 mm screws.

Save any unused parts in a bag labeled with the stage number for future use.

Stage complete.
