Looks awesome my friend... I gotta ask thou, how do the landing gear hold up to the weight of the whole ship? Any problems?

No problems so far.... they are quite sturdy and all the weight is transfered downwards so no stress is being applied sideways which would cause a breakage ... one thing i did notice is the legs are not as tight a fit in the housings as you would like... this means they have a tendancy to drop out as you are holding the falcon... im going to put a couple of magnets in to stop that though ....
Thanks all for the comments

well ...two years of blood, sweat and tears (and superglued fingers!!) and I come to the end of my millennium falcon journey.Having never attempted anything like this before I have found it a great learning experience, sometimes fun....sometimes frustrating...but always satisfying.
So for the final time I post the images of my take on the falcon in its two display modes...
I would like to thank everyone on this forum who took the time to praise , advise and also inspire me....you are truly a great bunch and I will miss this little corner of the crazy world....
thanks again

That looks absolutly dtunning and what a beautiful display unit you have put together for it.

I cannot believe were the 2 years have gone but appreciate you sharing your build over that time as its been a treat to follow.

Hope you decide on another build because your updates and ideas are really good - do you think you might have a go at R2D2?
Happy Modelling

Ade , saw your post on the Deagostini site . Just wanted to congratulate ya again , and to say thanks again as well . For sharing , advising and inspiring . You mentioned sometime back that you might attempt a larger scale M/F cockpit ! . Regardless of what your next venture will be , I look forward to following the journey . Cheers ged BigGrin

Dont fancy R2D2.... was never into the droids... had issue 1 of the deloreaan (again) the other week so im going to invest myself in that... i did also start working on a larger scale falcon cockpit which i must get around to showing... its gone off the boil at the moment cause im all falconed out!!!!.... love what your doing on the customised build and i will get around to leaving some chatter on there...
As a side to everyone i did consider starting a thread where we could post pics of us the builders with our proudly finished falcons to kind of put faces to names... what do you guys think ?

What R2D2 is not the droid you are looking for?
BTW nice to see a completed Falcon great work wish I were that done.
I am having trouble deciding how close to the ESB falcon I want it to be.
So my build has stalled until I make that decision.
