You know it is funny how differently you look at the Millennium Falcon in the movies when you are building the model. I find myself intently looking at details of the model in the movies.

I know... I keep finding new things all the time. For example, I didn't realize the wall behind the computer console in the lounge was actually bent slightly. There's alot of little details like that you spot when you're building that make this such a cool project! What's something that you've recently discovered you never realized before?

I was speaking with a friend about the bed just above the circular couch with a friend and notice that it is not flat like the model has it actually has a raised section where the knees would probably be. I thought I noticed it in the movie but then I looked in the Haynes book and yes is has the raised section.

I have not seen anyone models of this for printing I have looked on shapeways but found nothing. I have really been trying to decide how authentic I want to make my falcon and thought would other notice, but then I thought I would notice and it would always bother me.

You haven't been looking in the right areas of Shapeways. When you go there do a search for DEAGO and you'll find tons of stuff, including that bunk above the seating the way it should look.

Did not have time to look at all models so I did not see the ones on Shapeways.

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays. I'll be posting progress pics after the new year... been kinda bogged down with the holidays between work and family, but hopefully after the season settles down a bit, I'll be able to do some more work on this! Thanks for understanding... until then...

G'day LrdSatyr , wishing you and yours a belated ' Happy New Year ! ' . Thanks for the reply on another post re; alternative ramp mechanism . Seen what you and ( sorry forgot the other 3-D modeller you've collaborated with ) , came up with . Looks terrific , though I'm just after something that will compensate for the ramp leading up to a ' false ' corridor . It won't look as good , but probably more affordable price-wise .

Would like to know if you'd consider - after designing those wonderful Han , Luke , Chewie , Droid figures etc... any others, Specifically Echo base Rebel personnel/tech/maintenance/soldiers/pilots etc ? .

Pretty selfish request I realise , but , I'm hoping to have my completed Falcon ( landed position ) displayed in that diorama setting , and I can't find anything similar figures-wise on the 'net . Cheers Ged.
