Hi Guys I am just about to fix the deck to the hull and I would like to paint it with Tamiya Wooden Deck Tan TS-68. Does the deck need priming before I do that or if I have to prime it is it better to use Light Grey or Dark grey primer any advice would be appreciated. A deck tan colour would be incorrect if your looking for a weathered finish and also better to go for a woodstain or artist ink., A painted deck will look just that. Yamato's weathered deck was a greyish colour, read/see post #4 here... http://forum.model-space...aspx?g=posts&t=5771
Micro-Mark do "Age-it Easy" grey deck stain (also a brown version) http://www.micromark.com/Age-It-Easy-Gray
