Stage 83

Your parts:-Tender plate, buffer, coupling, hose, drawbar pin and screws.

Take the coupling and fit it to the rear of the tender with 2 x 4mm screws making sure the short side faces upwards then fit the buffer to the front of the tender. N ext glue the overflow pipe from stage 81 onto the rear of the tender along with the brake hose.

Fit the upper tender plate to the inside of the tender and fix in place with two 2 x 4mm screws then turn the tender over and fit the drawbar pin to the front of the tender.

Stage complete.

Stage 84

Your parts:-End frame, side frames, frame joint,wrench and bolts.

Lay the end frame with its painted face on the table then fix the side frames and joint to each other using the hex wrench and eight screws. Do not fully tighten the screws yet.

Your parts:- Frame joint , end frame, frame sides and bolts.

Assemble the end frame in the same way that you assembled stage 84 making sure the painted sides match up.

Stage 86

Your parts:- Frame joint, side frames and bolts.

Take the two assembled end frames and lay them on a table, take 2 side frames and add them to the front of the frame that has the long cut out, Join the two side frames with a frame joint and then add the last two side frames to the other side making sure the side frame with the cut out is positioned correctly. Once all the screws are in place tighten them all and turn the assembled frame right side up.

Stage complete.

Your parts:- Top plates and bolts.

Add an end top frame to the left side of the assembled frame and fix it in place with four bolts, Next add the speaker top frame next to the one just fitted and then add the remaining two frames in the same way.

Stage complete.

Stage 88

Your parts:-Speaker, cover, protector, cable and screws.

Turn the base over and locate the two speaker grills and cover them with the cloth protector making sure the four screw holes are not covered. Place the speaker over the protector and fix it in place with four screws making sure the end with the connector is facing to the right then add the speaker cover fixing it in place with six screws. Now attach the speaker wire to the connector on the speaker box and feed the wire to the right through the two central cut outs.

Stage 89

Your parts:- Battery box, switchplate, switchboard, switches, cables, hex nuts, washers and screws.

Take the switchboard and add the five washers making sure the tabs are inserted into the five holes. You can use a spot of glue on each one to keep them in place. Screw five hex nuts about three quarters the way down on each switch then slide the switches onto the the switchboard making sure the groove on the switches matches up with the tabs on the washers.

Place the switchplate over the switch assembly and fix each switch to it with a nut. Tighten each switch by adjusting the rear nut until the switches no longer move. Once all the nuts are tightened pass the wires through the long hole in the base and fix the plate in place with four screws.

Stage complete,carefully store any remaining parts in a labelled bag for future use.

Stage 90

Your parts:- Sound generator and screws.

Turn the base over and find the four screw holes on the right end below the switches you just assembled and fitted into the long hole. With the long socket facing the switch assembly and the four small switches to the left fix the generator in place with four screws. Once fitted fit the switch connector to the long socket and the speaker cable to its marked socket.

Take the battery box from stage 89 and attach it to the base with four screws or you can have it outside the base if you wish. Fit the battery box cover and keep it in place with a screw and then fit the battery cable between the battery box and the socket in the generator, Fix the cables to the last two sockets on the generator and run the cables through and out of the central hole in the base.

Stage 91

Your parts:- Ballast A,B,C,D, sleepers, fasteners, long and short rails.

Place an end ballast 'A' on the left end of the base then five more 'B' ballasts then add the two 'C' ballasts making sure the long arms face outwards. Add three more 'B' ballasts and then the two 'D' ballasts to the base. Add the last nine 'B' ballasts followed by the last end ballast 'A'.

Place all the sleepers between the ballast leaving the area at the 'C' ballast open. Fix two fasteners to each sleeper and then take the two short rails and add them to the left hand side of the base by sliding the rails through the fasteners. Add the four remaining long rails in the same way to the right hand side of the base.

Stage complete.
