Hi All! I haven't seen you for along time. For some business reasons, I can hardly build models. At this time I as a volunteer can only build a small number of model ships to be displayed at Tsukuba Naval Museum that is a semi-public small museum in a local town near Tokyo. http://www.p-ibaraki.com/tsukuba
Recently, I have build a diorama to comply with museum request. I brought it there the other day. A title of this diorama is "Battleship Yamato enters into current Tokyo Port". I put 1/700 Yamato's model on the diorama of current Tokyo bay built in same scale. This diorama presents a imaginary scene for the visitors to feel the hugeness of the Yamato. Attached No.1-4 photos are real scenes of Tokyo bay, No.5-7 are photos of the diorama. Best regard Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi Alan, Graeme, Tomick, Mark, Nemesis and Kev Thank you for your comments on my post. They asked me to provide a new diorama on July. So I had to spend almost my summer vacation to build this diorama. The building of this museum is a real filming location of The Eternal Zero that is a 2013 Japanese war drama.I have already provided the museum some other my models that were introduced in this forum. I hope visitors enjoy them. Best Regards, Yutaro DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hasegawa Co. 1/350 Battle ship NGATO, 1/350 Aircraft carrier Akagi, Battle ship MIKASA. Hi davetwin, Andy and Al! Thank you very much for your comments on my post. I attach an additional photo of the diorama in the museum whose building was really used as a base of Imperial Japan Navy. The museum staff sends me it. Two additional small boats are attached on the surface. They will start displaying the diorama on August 25th.
