Great update Shaun I really love how you are posting the step by step on how you make the rudder and elevators. It's always good to see how different people tackle things and I'm sure others will find is useful.

Thank you Alan, Andy and Dave for your kind words it means a lot to me For this update I am including issue 23 and 24. Parts Supplied with issue 23 Cockpit canopy and screws. The first step with this issue is to part a line 7mm from the top of the fuselage and then sand down to this line rounding over the corners. Next two off cuts of 6mm balsa sheet are glued into the gap below the fin and then sanded back flush with the fuselage. Next in this issue the canopy is to be cut to shape and painted but I made the decision to leave this to later in the build. Now for issue 24 Part supplied are main wing spar, Rib 3, 8x400mm dowel, two threaded rods, unthreaded rod and two heat shrink sleeves. First the main spar and rib are sanded. The spar is then fitted into the wing jig and rib 3 glued into place. It is always important to check the instructions to insure the correct alignment. Luckily I noticed my mistake before the glue had set and was able to correct the mistake easily. After this a 2mm hole is drill 30mm from the end of the dowel. Next a 1.5mm deep groove is made in from the hole to the end of the dowel Then a 8mm piece of the threaded rod is bent 90 The rod is then inserted into the hole in the dowel and glued into place. The heat shrink is then fitted over the end of the dowel. These steps are then repeated on the other end of the dowel. That completes the work on these to issues. You might want to consider swopping-out the push rods and use Bowden cables instead. Another good idea for upgrade would be to put an aileron servo into each wing half rather than use a central servo to control both, this way it avoids the potential for aileron flutter.

So the Sara lifeboat tractor is complete and it's also the end of the silly season at work so I hope to beanie to get back to this build in the next few weeks. I have managed to complete the one wing and have started building the second unfortunately I lost my USB stick with all build instructions on and all the pics for all stages I completed finishing the first wing and the start of the second. I just need to copy the instructions from the cd onto a USB stick and I'll be able to continue with this build and keep you all updated.
