The optional T-72 Wi-Fi unit is a video camera with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and a Wi-Fi sender/receiver.
The Wi-Fi unit is easy to fit and easy to use. It allows you to operate your T-72 Tank with your IOS or Android SmartPhone or Tablet at a distance of up to 30 metres, depending on the environment and weather conditions.
The Wi-Fi unit provides "first person view" to your mobile device, you can also save photos and video from the live feed displayed on your device screen in real time, as you are controlling the tank.
First person view, also known as remote-person view or video piloting, is a method used to control a model from the Pilot's view point.
The Wi-Fi module is installed in the turret and is connected to the distribution board. Following the simple instructions, you can quickly connect the module into the Tank operating system. To activate the system, you just need to move the connectivity switch from 2.4G to Wi-Fi.

I'll be getting one of these! Was just wondering when is the best time to fit it - once the tank is complete (another three months time for me), or at a certain point in the build?

It's intended to be fitted when or after you receive Pack 12 but get one as soon as you can as you may have to wait a while before stock is replenished.
