USS Constitution pack 11-Stages 101-110
Stage 101 contents:- Mainmast parts, mainmast fret and mainmast plan.
From the previous stage take the two bow bulwarks then shape them to fit at the bow and then glue them in place. Next take the two head rails and again shape them to fit below the bulwarks paint them black and then add wire painted white along the edges of both head rails and glue them in position. Cut and shape more painted wire and glue them to the catheads.
From 1mm brass wire form a loop that is the same diameter as the unshaped end of the flying jibboom. Next create another jibboom iron from brass wire in the form of a figure of eight. Using the bowsprit plan mark on the cap where to drill the hole for the loop you made. Fix the loop to the bottom of the flying jibboom and glue it into the hole just made then use the other brass iron to fix it to the end of the jibboom.
Next from Stage 95 take the 5mm dowel and using the bowsprit plan start shaping the spritsail yard making sure you create the steps indicated at each end and that it is tapered as per the plan drawings.

Stage 103
Stage 103 contents:-Cross tree, boom irons, cleats and main mast yards.
From a 2 x 6mm strip cut two lengths at 22mm then shape them to make the anchor retainers, smooth them and then paint them black. Now mark a line 10mm forward of the rectangular hole midships and glue one of the retainers in place. Do the same for the other side.
Retrieve two anchors and there brass rings and a length of anchor rope. Attach a ring to each anchor then pass an anchor rope through the ring and use some 0.15 natural thread to create the seizing to hold the rope to the brass ring. Next pass an anchor fluke through the netting in the rectangular hole and then glue the anchor stock to the retainer then create a coil of rope and place onto the deck . Do the same on the other side with the second anchor.
From some 10mm dowel cut two 22mm lengths and remove around a third from one side then paint both of them black. Glue each piece underneath the port below the platform at the bow.
Next take the spritsail yard and stain it with your chosen colour then use the Bowsprit plan to add the eyepins, blocks and ropes to it. Next take a file and enlarge the the hole at the bow where the bowsprit will fit. Do this carefully and test fit the bowsprit often until it sits correctly but do not glue it in place yet.

Stage 104
Stage 104 contents:- Thread, blocks and deadeyes.
Take the davits received in Stages 87 and 88 and then cut a section 4mm wide just behind the last gun port out of the raised wale above the starboard quarter gallery. Test fit a davit then drill two 1.5mm holes and adjust until it sits neatly against the hull. Next measure and mark a line 22mm forward of the third upper gun port then fit the davit in the same way you did before. Fit the remaining two davits to the other side of the hull.
Cut two lengths of 2 x 2mm strip 113mm long and paint them white, when dry glue both just below the upper davit flange on either side of the hull.
Lay out the foremast plan and then take the 10mm dowel from Stage 97 and cut it to the length of the lower mast. From the Stage 95 fret remove the foremast cap '43' from it [note caps 43 and 103 are the same size] and sand it smooth. Now taper the foremast to match the plan with sandpaper.
Once the foremast is shaped measure the top end and cut the square notch that will hold the cap in position noting its rake and placement as per the plan. Do not glue the cap in position yet.

Stage 105
Stage 105 contents:- Mizzenmast parts, deadeyes, Mizzenmast plan and two Rigging plans.
From Stage 97 take the fret and remove the fore top part and sand smooth. Next create the fore top rims using a piece of 2 x 4 x 300 ramin strip, you may need to soak the strip to get the curve at the front. Mark the positions of the fore top ribs on the fore top using the plan then using a piece of 2 x 2 x 300 ramin strip cut each rib to size and glue in position. Go back to the fore top plan and mark and drill the 5 holes on each side then smooth the fore top with sand paper.
Next from Stage 97 take the 8mm dowel and make the fore top mast, cut it to size and then taper it as per the plan. Then using foremast cap 51 from the fret create a square peg in the mast like you did before. Take the 6mm dowel from Stage 97 and make the fore topgallant mast following the plans and taper as you have for the other mast parts. Save all the mast parts just made in a labelled bag.
Take the hull and mark the centre's of the lower gun ports on both sides of the hull then with a 2mm bit drill each hole. Retrieve the 30 dummy guns from your store of parts and glue 15 guns per side of the hull.

Stage 106
Stage 106 contents:- Mizzen mast/yards parts, cross tree and blocks.
Take the Stage 97 fret remove the four cross trees and glue them together so you have two cross trees then use 3 x 3 mm strip to create the trestle tree's using the foremast plan as a guide. When the glue has dried shape the ends with a curve on the underside.
From the last stage take the fore top and glue the cross trees assembly just made to its underside. Then use the plan to mark and drill with a 1mm bit the position of the four stanchions. Create the stanchions from 1mm brass wire as per the plan and glue them in place.
Next cut a piece of netting 50 x 10mm, adjust it to fit against the aft of the stanchions and glue it in place. Now create a hand rail from 2 x 2mm strip using the plan to get the length and then glue it in place centrally onto the four stanchions.
Take all the gun port doors, remove them from there frets and sand them smooth. Paint them all black and when dry paint one side white. The lower gun ports are placed flat against the hull underneath the ports the upper ports with the holes are placed at an angle against the upper frames. Complete one side of the hull then repeat for the other side.

Take the Foremast from the last stage and paint it white in the indicated areas. When the paint is dry add the blocks, double blocks and slings to the mast. Next test fit the foremast into the deck foremast hole and if needed enlarge it so the mast fits. You can now glue the mast in position or do it later its your choice.
From Stages 98 and 99 take the fore yard [57] , fore top yard [68], fore topgallant yard [75] and the fore royal yard and prepare them as shown on the plan.
Next take fiftytwo 5mm deadeyes and wrap each deadeye with 0.5mm brass wire leaving each deadeye with a tail of wire about 40mm long. Now make up 12 more the same but this time using 4mm deadeyes then paint all the tails black.
Starting at the bow pass the tail of a 5mm deadeye through the hole in the chainwale making sure the deadeye rests against the chainwale. Directly below the wire mark and drill a hole 3 mm up from the bottom of the white strake then hammer a nail into the hull and wrap the wire around it once. Drill another hole 8mm below the one just drilled add another nail and wrap the wire around it trimming off any excess. Carry on working towards the stern adding 5mm deadeyes to the chainwales noting that the last two deadeyes at the rear of each chainwale will be 4mm deadeyes.
When one side is complete do the same on the other side of the ship.
