So half way through construction of pack 5, I broke my second rivet tool (Trumpeter). Found a tool made by RP productions that I hope holds up for the remainder of the build. It cost as much as 3 trumpeter tools so hope it was worth the investment.

We shall see...

Those rivet markers get a real lot of use on this kit.

Think I went through 3 of the Trumpeter ones and the fourth was near the end of its life. Crying

Hope the new one has more life in it. Blink

Pack 6

I painted and flocked the passenger cabin floor and installed the seats.

The molding around the bottom of the seat frames was made by scoring a long strip of aluminum sheet, masking it and painting the same color as the floor. I found that most of the paint peeled off while cutting and forming it around the seats. If I had it to do over, I would just score the line, cut and fit it then paint it once it was placed on the seats.

Thanks for watching

That`s looking very good Mark.

Cool Cool Cool

Quick question: Did you use a metal primer on the aluminium strips before applying the top coat? If not that could be why the paint peeled.

Good luck moving forward.BigGrin

Yes Derek, I used a thin coat of model masters white metal primer followed by 2 coats of Vallero Fire red paint. The stripe on about half of the strips peeled off like a decal.

I've fitted the floor into the passenger cabin and glued the 2 sides of the fuselage together.
