Now take the “L” shape black link and place as shown, fitting the end of the part into the link of the smaller black detail in the previous step.
The remaining link fits on the underside of the front console base which was supplied with issue 5.

Adding the Details
(Please note that the colour of some the parts in this build log differ from the magazine. These have been painted, please see the custom build log for more information)

Take the front console assembly from stage 63, plus all the details supplied with this issue. Fit the round pin “A” into the hole as shown, using a pair of tweezers to hold it and push firmly into place.
Now place all the other details in the same way, noting their placements in the picture below.

Straighten the wires connecting the LED’s and take the middle one of the three. Fit the LED into the LED mount with the wider flange going on first. Feed the LED up through the rectangular hole in the cockpit shell and carefully pull it through on the other side. Plug the LED mount securely into the hole in the underside of the cockpit console as shown. Now fit the console into the cockpit shell, gently pulling the surplus wire back down through the rectangular hole and push the console into place.
Turn the assembly over and take the LED attached to the end of the wire and plug it into the starboard side underneath the right instrument panel. Take the remaining LED, which has the plug from it and place into the port side of the cockpit shell underneath the left instrument panel. Route the wiring neatly around the two edges of the cockpit shell as shown. Now test the lighting using the battery test box.
