
Wow. Looking at the build diaries and instructions, I’m not sure it would be my first choice for a ‘first wooden build’. I would have recommended the Sultan Arab Dhow for a novice builder, but alas it’s out of stock

I guess it really hinges on your willingness to learn, but it’s a brave man/woman that would spend £800 without exploring the alternatives.
Having said that, the instructions for all the wooden ship builds are excellent, and by following them, and the knowledge base on the forum, if you are determined to give it a go, you should end up with a good result.
