On the video that covers the last 3 issues 98-100, I was a little upset that when the marriage of the body to the interior/chassis that it didn't even show where the assembler in the video put all the wires at the front. If you look at the video between 1:55 minutes to the 2:24 mark, that the wires even show through the windshield. It don't show how the assembler dealt with the wires, how he put them in the assembly without them showing.

I'm at that stage and thought the video would be a big help in covering the wires so they wouldn't show.

Any help in this will be very appreciated,
Rich

I built this kit a good few years ago and I remember putting the chassis very close to the body and then taping the wires down wherever possible with electrical insulating tape.
Particularly so at the rear of the dashboard area.
That way, when the body was fitted the dash wires didn't 'bunch up' and enter the cockpit at the bottom of the screen.

Hope it helps.

Roy.

Hey Roy, Yes, that helps a lot !!! Thank You:)

BTW, Have you seen the new 1/8 scale models from Agora Models? The Shelby GT500 Super Snake is identical in most areas to the DeAgostini Shelby GT500.

Also, Check out the 427 Cobra.

And Agora has other 1/8 scale models as well.

Again, Thank You for the information on the wires !!!

The Agora Shelby is actually 'the same' as the DeAgostini kit.
Neither company 'makes' the kits.

The manufacturer has modified some of the kit components, and created some new ones, to make the Super Snake.
The up-coming 'Bullitt' car will be the same.

The new E Type Jaguar roadster from Agora is exactly the same.
The same 'basic' DeAgostini kit, but a new roadster rear and screen scuttle, and modified seats.
The rest seems (by available images so far) identical.

Sadly, the Cobra has no interest for me as I just don't like the actual car.BigGrin

Lol, I'd say me being in the USA and the Cobra with American muscle as the drivetrain and Carroll Shelby as being the Brains behind it all and him being such the Icon he is here in America, might be just the Natural thing for me to like anything the Man accomplished. JMO

Thanks Roy,
