After a break from this one, I'm back on it again.

The next task is to check final main body placing and get the door fit correct.
Then I need to sort door hinges, door final fit and paint.

Then finish the interior, install the dash and steering wheel, then fix the body in place.

Getting on with this one now as well as the Gunston Lola T70.

Doors now trimmed and sorted to fit.
Umpteen coats of primer, sanding, and three top coats.

The doors fit really well - just taped in place for the pics but the body is only loosely dropped over the tub.

Time to finish the interior, fix the hinges, then add the body to the main floor.
On we go from there.

A small update on this one.

When finished, the doors will work so the interior can be seen.
I've added a matt black head lining which looks far better than the shiny clear plastic that was there before.
Dashboard in next, then the hinge assemblies for the doors.

I've managed to modify the kit door hinges and front panels and they are now in the shell.
Steering column and wheel added, gear and brake levers, and body placed for a rough idea of fit.
Looking aok so far.

I've now added a roll cage which was made from a old guitar lead with the core pulled out, and thick copper wire pushed in.

I'm in the process of hanging the door skins and after that, the body will be added to the floor...

Moving ahead with more of the body.
Rear wheel arch liners are now made and fitted. Painted matt black.
Also, the side windows have been made and are also now in place.
Door liner cards next and then it will be getting on with the front suspension and engine.

Looking good Roy. Love Do you make the wheels too, or buy them in?

Hello Mark.
I'll make my own wheels as on my previous E Type race car builds.

I've been bashing along on this one for the past few weeks and the engine is now pretty much built and fitted to the car.

Lots more detail bits and wiring to add, as well as making all the other gubbins that goes around the engine.

On we go.Laugh

Looking good Roy. Love It is amazing, given how big this engine was, that you could lift the bonnet up and work on pretty much anything to do with the engine, whereas you don’t stand a chance with modern cars. I had a TR4a with a 2.2L engine and you could virtually get inside with it. Blink

A long overdue bit of work on this one.
It's been sidelined a bit due to impending house move.

Anyway, screen rubbers now added...LOL LOL LOL
