Hi All, BigGrin BigGrin

Well here we go with the Fast and Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34). ThumpUp

Roy, (aka Roymattblack) will be on the Official Build. All I have to do is keep his feet on the ground until the first parts arrive.LOL LOL .

A link to the pre-order site is here:

https://www.fanhome.com/...furious/nissan-skyline/

A little history of the car follows:

The Skyline GT-R (R34) was one of the most emblematic automobiles in the history of Nissan. Launched on the market in 1999, it was the sports version of the tenth-generation Skyline, a symbol of the success of Japanese engineering. Capable of competing with other far more expensive sports cars of the period, it has become a classic.

This is the iconic car that stole the show in the movie, 2 Fast 2 Furious.
The Nissan Skylines produced for the film were all R34s. The car(s) in the films were powered by an RB26DETT 2.6-liter, DOHC, 24-valve straight six sitting longitudinally in the engine bay that were force fed by twin turbos and officially rated at 280 hp. The R34's engine feeds a six-speed Getrag gearbox that in turn sends power to the ATTESA all-wheel-drive system, which electronically varies the torque split to the wheels.

Super HICAS four-wheel steering is also fitted and includes an electronic feedback control system to ensure precise wheel positioning under extreme conditions. The big change for the R34 from previous Skylines was a stiffened body shell and a fresh, sharper aerodynamic design. This car also has carbon-fibre under-car diffusers.

Other features of the R34 in the movie include a C-West Body kit, long blue vinyl stripes, HRE wheel rims and a C-West wing. The movie Nissan Skyline GT-R is equipped with 2.6 litre RB26DETT Twin turbocharger and the engine can produce around 330HP.

Now its over to Roy to give you the heads up on how the Official Build will pan out. Happy building. Drool Drool

Regards

The build will be starting very shortly.

As with the Lotus 97T build, the model will be built 'as-is' throughout, straight from the packs.
However, where there is the possibility to add simple inexpensive modifications that anyone could do, these will be added as a separate post, under the strict proviso that the upgrades/modifications are NOT the responsibility of Fanhome, DeAgostini or this forum and are purely undertaken at the modellers own risk.

I'm sure that we will all end up with a stunning model.

Happy building everyone.
