ADDING CARPETS:
The model is already highly detailed but an optional extra you could add is carpeting the interior.
There are several 3rd party suppliers who offer carpet sets for this kit. The choice is yours.
NOTE: This is entirely at the builders’ discretion.
Fitting the carpet pieces is very straight forward as long as you are careful. The end result will look very pleasing.
At this stage, only the main floor and tunnel are being carpeted. As more interior parts are available, carpets will be added.
REMEMBER – this is an OPTIONAL stage.

Adding carpets to the sills.
This is a very simple procedure.
Cut a strip of self-adhesive carpet a little longer and wider than the actual sill part. Stick one long edge of the carpet in place along the upper flat side of the sill and then carefully wrap the carpet around the part.
In the case of the driver’s side sill, press the carpet in place at the top of the handbrake location and with a sharp knife, cut the carpet around the shape and discard that piece of carpet.
Press the carpet firmly in place on the face of the sill. Trim the excess carpet away around the ends of the sills and at the bottom.
REMEMBER – this is an OPTIONAL stage.

Carpeting the rear bulkhead:
Cut a strip of self-adhesive carpet wide enough to cover the bottom part of the bulkhead and wrap over the top.
Peel the backing from the upper edge of the carpet and carefully stick it firmly in place behind the top ‘lip’ on the bulkhead.
Peel the rest of the backing paper off and stick the carpet firmly down on the face of the bulkhead.
Use a sharp blade and carefully trim the carpet around the bulkhead. Keep the rectangular piece from the hatch location for future use.
Use a cocktail stick and the point of your blade to open out the screw holes etc where parts will fit in future.
Use the small rectangular piece of carpet to cover the hatch panel from the next stage.
