STAGE 6:

Right engine block and starter motor.

Pic 1: Locate the starter motor parts 6D and 6E.
6E will fit on top of 6D.

Pic 2: Fit the two parts together and fix with 1 x AP screw.

Pic 3: Fit the assembly to the starter motor half, part 6B as shown and fix using 1 x AP screw.

Pic 4: Fit the other half of the starter motor body, 6C and fix with 1 x AP screw.

Pic 5: Press one end of the tube 6F onto the pin as shown.

Pic 6: Shows the stage completed.

Store these parts safely for now.

STAGE 7A:

Spark plug leads.

Pic 1: Retrieve the assembled distributor from stage 5 and fix it to the cylinder head part 7A using 1 x AM screw.

Pic 2: Locate the sprue of plugs, 7B. There are spares on the sprue.

Pic 3: Cut 12 x plugs from the sprue and fit them in the holes along the inner edge of the cylinder head using the tweezers provided in this pack.

Pic 4: Locate the intake manifold, part 7C. It will fit into the 3 x holes indicated in the picture.

Pic 5: Intake manifold fitted.

Pic 6: Cut 3 x 120mm lengths of cable from the roll, part 7D.

STAGE 7B:

Pic 7: Locate one of the pins on the top outer circle on the distributor, close to the metal retaining ring.
Fit one of the cables and pass it through the ring, to connect with plug number 1, nearest to the distributor.

Pic 8: Going in a clockwise direction, fit two more cables to the distributor, passing them through the retaining ring and connecting to plugs 2 an 3.

Pic 9: Cut 2 x 140mm lengths of cable.

Pic 10: Still moving in a clockwise direction, fit these cables to pins 4 and 5 and then plugs 4 and 5.

Pic 11: Cut 7 x 180mm lengths of cable.
From now on, these cables fit ANTI CLOCKWISE, beginning next to pin 1 on the distributor.

Pic 12: Fit each cable starting at pin 12, connecting it to plug 6.
Each cable in turn connects to plug 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12.
Make sure all cables pass through the retaining ring.


Pic 13: This guide shows the distributor pins and related spark plugs.

Store these parts safely for now.

STAGE 8A:

Injectors and manifolds.

Pic 1: Locate the camshaft cover and bracket, parts 8A and 8B.

Pic 2: Fit them together as shown. They will only fit one way.

Pic 3: Locate the injectors and manifolds, parts 8D, 5 x 8C and 8E.
NOTE – On close inspection you can see the locating hole in the end of one of the manifolds is angled. This is part 8D. Look at image 5A for a close-up of the difference. This is not indicated in the printed instructions.

Pic 4: Fit the injector 8E into the manifold 8D or C as shown.
They will only fit one way.

Pic 5: Assemble the other parts in the same way.

Pic 6: Press one of the 8C assemblies into the cylinder head as shown so that it goes between cables 1 and 2.

Pic 7: Press one of the 8C assemblies into the cylinder head as shown so that it goes between cables 3 and 4.

Pic 8: Press one of the 8C assemblies into the cylinder head as shown so that it goes between cables 5 and 6.

Pic 9: Press one of the 8C assemblies into the cylinder head as shown so that it goes between cables 7 and 8.

Pic 10: Press one of the 8C assemblies into the cylinder head as shown so that it goes between cables 9 and 10.

Pic 11: Press assembly 8D into the cylinder head as shown so that it goes between cables 11 and 12.

NOTE: As previously mentioned manifold 8D has an angled hole in the upper end. This is part 8D.

Pic 13: Stage completed.

Store these parts safely for now.
