STAGE 77:

Left sidepod fairing.

Pic 1: Fit the fairing parts 77A and 77B together by pressing the raised screw pins on the rear of 77A into the locating holes in 77B.
The parts will only fit one way.
Fix them together with 2 x IP screws.

Pic 2: Shows the parts correctly assembled from the front.

Pic 3: Fit the joint panel, part 77C to the end of the fairing, 77A.
The parts will only fit one way.
Fix them together using 3 x IP screws.

Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 78A:

Left sidepod rear fairing.

Pic 1: Fit the mounting bracket, 78B to the fairing, 78A and secure with 1 x DP screw.

Pic 2: Fit the fairing duct, part 78C to the inside of the fairing and fix using 3 x DP screws.
NOTE – The part appears to be incorrectly painted gloss black on the wrong side. You may wish to paint the inside of the part gloss black as this is the surface that will be seen when completed.
This is entirely at the builder’s discretion.


Pic 3: Locate the wastegate cooling duct and intake pod, parts 78E and 78D.

Pic 4: Fit the cooling duct, 78E to the inside of the fairing and fix using 2 x DP screws.

Pic 5: Press the air intake pod, 78D in place on the outside of the fairing.
Make sure it is facing the right way.

Pic 6: Retrieve the fairing assembly 77A from the previous stage and fix the new assembly, 78A in place, securing the parts with 3 x IP screws.

Pic 7: Shows the completed fairing.

STAGE 78B:

Pic 8: Retrieve the coolant pipe, part 65C from stage 65.
Note the the positioning of the part, with the raised area indicated upwards.

Pic 9: Shows where the pipe will fit.

Pic 10: Fit the left end of the pipe into the hole at the lower edge of the radiator.

Pic 11: The other end of the pipe feeds under the turbo and exhaust, to connect to the hole in the oil pump.
You may find it easier to connect this end first.

Pic 12: Position the fairing assembly beside the car as shown, noting where the fixing points are.

Pic 13: Fit the fairing in place, pressing the pins on the fairing upper front edge into the holes in the top edge of the radiator.

Pic 14: Turn the car upside down and secure the fairing from underneath using 3 x EP screws.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 79A:

Right exhaust pipe.

Pic 1: Locate the exhaust parts 79A, 79B and 79C.

Pic 2: Fit the parts together as shown. They will only fit one way.
Fix using 2 x DP screws.

Pic 3: Locate the turbocharger bracket parts 79D and 79E.

Pic 4: Fit the parts together as shown and fix using 1 x BP screw.

STAGE 79B:

Pic 5: Retrieve the exhaust parts just assembled and locate the turbocharger part 79F and the bracket 79E.

Pic 6: Press fit the parts together as shown. They will only fit one way.

Pic 7: Retrieve the main car assembly and fit the exhaust in place on the right side of the chassis plate, next to the engine.
The leg under the exhaust locates in the hole in the chassis and is fixed from underneath using 1 x DP screw.
Make sure the intake on the turbocharger locates in the end of the engine exhaust manifold.

Pic 8: Fit the bracket link, part 79G to the pin on the end of the right turbo bracket, part 38A, and the other end in the hole in the top of the bracket link on the top of the turbocharger, 79D.
Secure it using one of the circlips, part 79H.
Builders tip: You may find it easier to fit the circlip while it is still attached to the sprue, then carefully cut it away afterwards.

Pic 9: Shows the circlip in place with the sprue cut away.

Store the model safely for now.

STAGE 80:

Right turbocharger.

Pic 1: Locate the turbocharger shaft and oil pipe, parts 80A and 80F.
Fit them together as shown.

Pic 2: Shows where the shaft will fit.

Pic 3: Fit the short end of the shaft, 80A into the hole in the end of the turbine housing, and connect the pipe from the engine, 46H to the other pin on the shaft.

Pic 4: Connect the oil pipe, 80F to the blue connector on the engine pipe, 42F.

Pic 5: Locate the two parts of the compressor housing, 80B and 80C.
You will see that part 80C is marked ‘L’ for left. Ignore it, as these parts are actually the same on both sides of the car.

Pic 6: Press the two parts firmly together.

Pic 7: Fit the bracket 80E in place on the assembly and fix with 1 x NP screw.

Pic 8: Slide the assembly, silver part first, over the long shaft, part 80A.
Fix the bracket to the car chassis from underneath using 1 x BM screw.

Store the model and the unused part 80D safely for now.

STAGE 81:

Right turbocharger.

Pic 1: Locate the intake duct parts 81B and 81C.

Pic 2: Fit the parts together and fix with 1 x DP screw.

Pic 3: Fit the upper duct part 81A and fix with 2 x DP screws.
The parts only fit one way.

Pic 4: Fit the air filter part 81D to the assembly and fix with 1 x DP screw.

Pic 5: Press-fit the air filter cover part 80D from the previous stage in place as shown.

Pic 6: Locate the water pipe part 65D saved from stage 65.
It will fit in place in the position shown.

Pic 7: The left end of the pipe fits behind the turbo assembly.
Tape the pipe in place using tape 81E.

Pic 8: Shows the left end of the pipe connecting to the oil pump.

Pic 9: Connect the two tubes, 62C to the pins on the air filter unit.

Pic 10: Fit the air filter and duct to the turbocharger assembly and secure with 1 x DM screw through the central hole.

Store the model safely for now.
