Retrieve the front deck assembly.

Identify the correct orientation of the lids and correct side of model for the placement for both inspection lids onto the front deck. Test-fit, then glue both in place.

Take the four steps, glue each into the slots on the front deck as shown. Ensure they are set parallel.

Take the beam side steps, secure one at each end of the beam from the underside of the deck, with a screw located in each from the top side.

Take the hose, apply a small amount of epoxy to its fixing projection, then fit onto the hole on the indicated hole on the front beam as shown.

Pack 04 contains Stages 13-16

Stage 13 - Rear cylinder covers, cylinder plates and screws.

Identify the front and rear cylinder plates.

Take the rear plate, cylinder covers and two screws. Test-fit one of the cylinder covers onto the correctly oriented rear cylinder plate, apply glue to the rear of the cover, position onto the plate and fix its exact position with a screw. Be careful not to get any glue onto the screw thread, as it is only a temporary and the screw will need to be removed.

Repeat at the other side with the second cylinder cover. When the glue has set, remove both screws.

Fit the rear cylinder plate behind the smokebox support, align the four holes, then secure the plate with four screws.

The fit the front cylinder plate at the front of the smokebox support and secure with four screws.

Stage 14 - Piston valve guides, safety valves, front steam chest covers, motion bars and screws.

Take one of the safety valves, screw it into the lower hole of a cylinder cover. Repeat to fit a valve into the cover on the other side.

Take the motion bars, carefully file the burrs from the upper and lower sides.

Identify the correct orientation of the bars.

Take one of the bars, secure the end with the round hole onto cylinder cover casting with a screw. Repeat at the other side with the second bar. (I used thread lock to secure the screws of both bars, as once the the upper piston valve guides are fitted, you will not then be able to acess these screws to re-tighten should they loosen).

Take one of the steam chest covers, test-fit then glue ii into the upper hole of the front cyliner plate. Repeat at the other side with the second cover.

Take one of the piston valve tail guides, test-fit it into the upper hole of the rear cylinder plate, then glue it in place, but ensure that it is correctly oriented - That its guides are parallel to the underframe. Repeat at the other side with the second guide.

Stage 15 - Front cylinder covers, piston rods, piston rod housings and safety valves.

Take the front cylinder covers and safety valves.

Glue and fit a cylinder cover into the lower hole of the front cylinder plate, and at the same time screw a valve into the cover to secure its postion. Repeat at the other side with the second cover and valve.

Apply glue to the thread of all four safety valves fitted to lock them in place.

Take the piston rods and housings, glue a rod into the end of each housing.

Check the correct orientation of the housings, then glue each in place onto the front cylinder covers, adjust the position so they sit squarely on the covers.

Stage 16 - Left & right cylinder side covers, drain cocks, hatch covers, valve wheels, hole covers and screws.

Remove the protective film from the cylinder covers.

Identify the correct orientation of the cylinder side plates and hatch covers, then glue the covers onto the cylinder covers.

Refer to the inset diagram of the instructions to fit the valve wheel and hole covers to both cylinder covers.

Take both drain cocks, check their orientation then fit one to each cylinder cover, then glue them from the rear.

Take the left side cylinder cover and 14 screws. Place the cover onto the left valve assembly, then secure it with screws.

Repeat at the other side with the right cylinder cover.

I replaced the protective film onto the cylinder covers for protection.
