While the glue was drying I started on the bow block, while I was glueing the parts together I noticed that there were small gaps so I stopped and clamped everything together, will finish it off tomorrow.

 Hi Ger i had the same problem as you with the bow sections and resorted to clamping too, my pics are sized 700 by 700 and they fit quite well on the pages,and its coming along a treat regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

I have also added the remaining parts to the bow section, as previously noted gaps were appearing so I stopped and clamped, not entirely happy with my work but a little sanding to the rear should give a flat surface, as always all comments are welcome

Hi Ger C Its comming along nicely m8,your work is fine. The bow/stern sections are cut oversize so after a good sanding all your errors will dissapear. regards Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Lots of sanding, filling and priming will be necessary if you are to loose the outline of the planking beneath the surface.

Hi all, I ran into a problem with my planking, when test fitting the first long plank I realized that something was wrong as it was not following the line of the notches on frames 14 - 12. After some head scratching I realized that there was a gap below frame 13. Either I did not push it home properly or I did not use enough glue and dislodged frame when inserting frame 28  I removed frame 13 and shaped the base so that it now fits, am glad that I took the time to figure out the problem rather than trying to force the plank to fit/ lesson learned, Ger

Hi all, Advice needed, What degree of tolerance is permissible, one or two of my frames are less than half a mm above the others, Not really sure as how a wooden model should fit together, All advice welcome, Ger

Sorry that I did not update sooner , I have made some progress with the planking but was not happy with some, in particular I found that the planks did not stick to frame 11 so removed these and will redo, funny that this only happened on the starboard side  , will post some pics soon
