Thanks for looking in Well, 3rd and final layer is complete and all the edges are levelled off. Not been fine sanded yet but is pretty smooth as is. Will be using some sanding sealer for the final rubdown. This is going to be mainly a natural wood build but below the waterline is to be painted white, Im not going to use any filler though as I want the planks to show though the white paint. Next up is the removal of all the frames and smooth down the inside, hope it goes well Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Hi Steve, beautiful work, love the colour of the wood, glad you've decided to leave it natural above the waterline. Happy building David

Cheers guys I snapped out all the frames without any problems, sanded the insides and am now getting to work on the decks. The large deck with all the cutouts took a lot of adjustment to get it to fit, the instructions say to plank the bow and stern false decks with 0.6x5 walnut but the kit dosent contain any so I may just use some Tanganyika left over from the Trinny. The build guide dosent mention any planking for the 2 decks with all the cutouts but I think I will do this as well Cheers Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Did some work on the bow planking and made and fitted the hatch in the bulkhead. Also built up the framework on the deck, the recesses will be for hatches and gratings later. I have 3 shipyard helpers, this one is called Comet and hasnt yet appeared on MS Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Hi Steve, I'm really impressed with the way this one is taking shape. Your work is so clean and the detail starting to go in is amazing. You really shouldn't work your helpers so hard Steve, they're no good when they go to sleep on the job Happy building David
