It's great fun to see your Falcon develop. You're having a lot of success with your approach. Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to seeing more. It's good to see what's ahead too.

Absolutely beautiful work on the hull paint and the weathering. Really first class. I am delighted to hear that you are having good luck with the DOA paints. I haven't started my build yet but I went ahead and purchased the DOA paints and your terrific paintwork confirms my decision to go with these. Very inspiring!

more of the underside hull coming together.....some really nice detailing on these parts...its funny to recognise little kitbashed parts on the model which have been faithfully reproduced....next week we get the main area of the ramp section and some lighting parts which look like they illuminate the ramp when its open...which if I'm correct about it will be a nice touch.... adriuus attached the following image(s):

many thanks for your kind comments again....this week saw the start of the ramp parts ....so just a few pics of it as it stands at the moment....also been working on ideas of eventually displaying the falcon "in flight" ... not keen on the deagostini wall mount which will cover most of the underside up. using the already included screw holes in the hull for the wall mount ,I've been trying out ways of using these for rods to support the model ....not keen on the metal rods seen in the pictures ....they look a bit "war of the worlds"!!!...now looking at Perspex rods or trying to figure out a way of using the bottom turret window as a mounting hole.. made a display table too which at the moment is bare bones and also part work bench while constructing the falcon....was going to use the bottom section for storing the magazines etc but now the underside will be the display section for the back to the future delorean which ive just subscribed to....the missus will kill me !!!!! keep up the great work everyone... adriuus attached the following image(s):

well its been a while since I updated ....the ramp building was a bit uneventful as the power for the motor has not yet been supplied...so it remains sealed shut....the hull plating is now almost full circle though !!! one thing to note on the latest section of hull plating is the small hole hidden in the "battle scar"...not sure what this is for but have a feeling it may be to conceal a switch or button for controlling either the ramp or lighting... as I have been layed up with man flu I also started tinkering with the hold again ...added a few bits , cut the seat backs down etc...much more satisfied with the look now...still a couple of bits to add which are on their way. also waiting on delivery of the revised tp1 and tp2 parts from france...will post some pics when they arrive... issue 40 contained the revised nose cone which after a bit of tinkering with the window frames looks pretty good..and it is definitely an improvement on the original . that's all for now...keep up the great work everyone adriuus attached the following image(s):

hi everyone progress on the falcon has been a bit slow the last few weeks....deagostini have had major distribution problems and so the magazine hasn't been getting into stores...hopefully this week things will return to normal !!!! however.... when I got the revised hull plating pieces tp1 and 2 from france I ended up with all the cockpit innards again which with the new nose cone got me tinkering...ordered the paragrafix etch set for the cockpit and went for it...even had a go at fibre optics which is a big leap for me !!! very pleased with how its turned out and here are some pics of the old and new cockpit... cheers for now and keep up the great work all... adriuus attached the following image(s):
