Chris Thank you all for the kind words - now for the update. First, I owe a big word of thanks to a number of folk at ModelSpace for tracking down my last pack in this build.I finally received the shipment and was then able to complete my model. I think they went way beyond in their efforts and I thing it says a lot for Model Space and their collective commitment. Anyway, the model is now complete and on display in my living room but I have a few photographs to upload just before the sails arrived and then the final shot on display. I hope the upload works- Howard attached the following image(s):

I am very pleased with the results.
I am now contemplating what to build for me daughter.
She tells me she likes the Bounty but I wonder about the open side. I think I could just plank it over on both sides. We will see after Christmas in the new year. I have the train to finish yet.
