Really looks great, Mo. Gives me hope as a first time ship builder that I can achieve a similar level of success with all these very tiny details. You really don't get a true sense for how small everything is until you have the parts in front of you. Just makes these ship builds that much more impressive. Keep the updates coming. Nice update Mo. Your doing a great job on her. Your ratlines are great, just one tip mix a little pva with water and wet the lines. Then use a pencil tip to push down on them slightly to induce rope sag. Just adds a little extra to your build. Chris On the bench 1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Hi Magpie,
Thanks for looking in, great wee tip about the Pva for the rat lines, I have been missing your Surprise build, I was always a good bit behind you, and I could follow your build, but now your busy with official builds, I seem to be on my own now.

All the ratlines all done, I have completed all the deckwork, as per the plan, hope all is in place. I have put all the bits on the deck, but not fixed them, for the picture only, as I am going to take them off for the rigging, hopefully that will give me more room. I am also leaving off the gun port's as well, as I don't want to catch things and break them. Mo /size] Mo

Thanks Davetwin,
Hope some information and pictures will help someone.
Again beeswax to the backstay ropes.

I really thought I was beat here, The small clump blocks are wired to the chainwales, and I have to get the thread puller in from the back, so as the thread if the correct way round, But with a bit of twisting the clump block, and bending the thread puller, I pulled it off, Again just shows what can be done if you apply yourself.

And with a bit of effort the backstays to the main mast are complete, I would really like these lines to have a bit of a sag about them, but if I even let the tension go a little, the line looks wrong, I have a generous helping of beeswax on them, I thought this may of helped shape it with a sag, but no.
When I do the diagonal rigging from mast to mast, I was thinking about hanging a crocodile clip on the line before tensioning it, ( I read that somewhere ) Tie it off, then use some P V A glue, rubbed on to the line with my fingers, to try and create a sag, Any ideas.
