Looks awesome. We are up to issue 68 in the states.I have attached the upper hull plating, but if you follow the directions, you can get messed up. The upper plate where the cockpit tube attaches to, if you do what the directions say you wont be able to attach the upper cockpit tube because it needs to hook up to the 2 points that the screws go in to. I guess they are going to make us take the screws off when the time comes, but they are self tapping screws so that could screw things up a bit? My current builds: The Millennium Falcon, Suzuki GSX 1300R Hayabusa, Ford Mustang Shelby

a little more progress as we edge towards the finishing line!!...it looks like the mandibles will be fully assembled before the top of the hull is fitted...I don't think the metal lugs that stick down from the top frame will be screwed to the mandibles ...instead they will hold the top of the mandible solid to prevent it sagging... http://www.scaleautofact...gostini/instruction.xml
this site shows the upcoming parts which will show you what I mean.. adriuus attached the following image(s):

Very impressive, adriuus. You've got to be feeling pretty satisfied with the way it's progressing. Also, nice use of weathering to disguise the seams on the engine panels. I just put mine together and was surprised at how obvious some of them will be, even when all the greeblies are attached. Anyway, you've found an elegant solution.

Nice work Ade, as usual. Your colouring/ weathering is top notch. Going back to to red lighting we have done, how did you do the red twin Lights in the cockpit?. They are the only ones I didn't do, we're they difficult as they look like they are in line with the back cockpit wall. Thanks Mark Regards Markwarren (Mark) Admin

thanks for the comments...appreciate people taking time to look in. I must apologise to mark as you did ask me about the cockpit light and I forgot to get back to you so here goes.... you are quite right in saying there is no room for a light behind the deag interior...but the paragrafix kit I have used leaves a small gap all around between interior and tube for lighting...I was able to slide an led strip reversed so the light points out into this gap....I drilled a hole into the tube and filled it with micro crystal clear..which I then coloured red....reason being is a red led strip gave out too much red but a warm white was just right...so I needed to create the red another way....ive got a female connector onto the led strip and a male connector spliced into the red landing light circuit...this means I can disconnect the two to lift of the top of the hull without it all snagging up. It also means the red cockpit light is independent of the rest of the cockpit lighting....with the paragrafix kool shade over the hole it doesn't show up as a big hole in the tube but allows the light to shine through when on... I also ,like yourself, aluminium taped inside the cockpit to stop light bleed.. hope all that drivel helps you out...!!!! good luck ade adriuus attached the following image(s):

Thanks Ade That was very helpful, already decided to keep the wiring with the cockpit loom for ease of maintenance. I've also bought some 2mm LED's I don't have the paragrafix but I'm sure I'll find a way somehow. Thanks for the pics, seeing what you've done close up, shows how good it looks and what a great job you've done. Cheers Mark Regards Markwarren (Mark) Admin

been busy since the last update...nearly got a complete mandible now and the headlight really looks good , if the rest of the kit supplied lights are of that quality it should look great. Iv'e now also finally settled on my display...and ditched the previous table in favour of something a bit more modern looking....ordered some mirror Perspex and clear Perspex and built myself a dustproofer !!!!very pleased with how its turned out...just cant get into the bed anymore!!! anyway enough waffle and on with the pictures...keep up the great work all.. adriuus attached the following image(s):

here's a few pics of the progress on the mandibles....only 16 issues to go now!! also redid the cockpit lighting due to the fact that I had used a led strip in the lighting set up which needs a full 9 volts to operate and so when I turned on all the other lights it went out...I thought I had better remedy it while I still could and during the change over I decided to go for a far more colourful illumination... thanks for looking ade adriuus attached the following image(s):
