Thanks Mark, Tom and Malc, your comments are very much appreciated.
@ Tom - Yeah, some of these parts are very small and an optivisor/magnifier is an absolute must. Don't think it's possible to build this without it!!
@ Malc - This will definitely be displayed with the bodywork (and wheels) removed Malc, in a garage setting with mechanics and tools and Ron Dennis talking to Senna!

Yeah, should be fun Malc. The figure that comes with my Tamiya MP4/4 kit does have a striking resemblance to Ron, which is to be expected I suppose since he was Team Principal at the time, so it shouldn't be too difficult to achieve - just some careful painting required!

That looks brilliant Kev. Was just looking at how small the parts are compared to that penny. Just amazed you can work something that small but then to get the paint on so neatly i am well impressed by your skills. Its looking a beautiful detailed model you have there. Happy Modelling

Thanks for your very kind comments Tony, very much appreciated as always.
I have to admit, I am working right on my limit at this scale and can honestly say this is one of the most intense builds I have ever taken on in all my years as a modeller, but great fun nonetheless and immensely satisfying when it all goes to plan. Some of these parts are ridiculously small!

With the right background it would pass as the real thing! Superb detail, and a serious amount of squinting!

Thanks Daran, I really appreciate your comments mate, they mean a lot. I think it's true what they say, that "the devil is in the detail"!!

Hello all,
Been a bit busy with work taking over my life recently but found a bit of time to at least make a start on the chassis. There was quite a few sink marks and various other areas that needed filling and sanding before I could start adding aftermarket parts, though even that was quite a lot of work as this kit is starting to show it's age and definitely not as well moulded as the modern Tamiya stuff! The filled/sanded areas can be seen in the photos below along with added PE parts. The resin steering rack, master cylinders and steering column shown in the photo with PE forward bulkhead will be painted and fitted in a later update. The whole assembly was primed using Tamiya 'Fine' Grey Primer. The text included in the photos should explain what's been done at each stage.
I have also been working on the undertray but not ready to show that yet, so just a short update this time. Thanks for looking, all comments and criticisms are welcomed.

Thanks Alan and Phil for looking in and also for your great comments, always very much appreciated.
It's a lot of work building something like this with so much detail, but great fun too and will no doubt bring great satisfaction when complete.
