Hi All More done, the forward range finder and radar tower has been made up and painted along with more fittings for the bridge along with the search lights. The funnel has been painted and the brass horns fitted. The midships gun platform has been made up with its railings and painted. The funnel has now been attached to the base and the rear gun platform, railings added and painted. The rear deck house has had its gun deck added and painted. More soon. Hi All All the base parts have now been glued together and after sanding has been sealed and then the sides/rear were painted black. The dry dock was painted light grey ready for some dirtying up and the Dock gate was painted red. More soon. Hi all Now I have the full set of parts I could work out when the screws and prop shafts are added but because a lot of the upper works are now being placed in position the rudder hole was drilled and the prop shafts added now its a simple job of just adding the screws and rudder at the end. With the above done the bridge and funnel and gun tower sub-structures were added to the hull along with the bow workings for the anchors The rear radar set up has been made up along with more guns, hose reels and the screws are now ready for painting. Hi All Started to make up the warehouse and pump house from the card parts provided reinforced with 5 x 5 mm strip the brickwork is supplied in sheats like dolls house wallpaper and needs cutting to size and gluing to the card parts. The doors are made up from 1 x 3 mm strip then painted and added to the pump house. The windows are made from mesh provided.
