Wow! i have not posted for a while but have been enjoying looking at everyone's builds and they are all very impressive. i am up to issue 33 now. I have assembled the frame and also painted most of the hull plates using Tamiya Insignia White, as per the Steve Dymszo you tube tutorial. Not started the hold area, still deciding on what to do with that. Keep it simple as per instructions or add some shapeways components. Everything has gone really well but have noticed that the last few hull plates don't fit very good. They are plates BP19,20,21,22 anyone else had a problem? see last pictures Darren

I would think they may pop together a bit tighter once the plates are actually screwed to the frame. But I'm not quite that far along myself yet, so I'm not sure.

The plates locate into the holes in the frame very well. It just seems they are too big that they overlap each other. Darren

Me and the wife went to London the other weekend. Whilst we where there we visited Madame Tussauds which has the new Star Wars section, would highly recommend it. So awesome to any Star Wars fan Plus a day at Legoland, just for the Star Wars lego. A few pics below. Darren

Hi, just a small update on my progress. Up to issue 45 but i am missing 38,39 and 40 (got these on order) it is not holding me up, i am just collecting and priming the hull pieces. I think my plan is to paint the whole falcon when built. She is getting big and i am liking the detail on the rear end. I know there have been a few issue's with parts TP-1, TP-3 and the nose cone but this thing is awesome. A few pics below to show where i am at. Happy building to all and enjoy Darren

Thanks guys, much of it upto now has been the hull plating, now I am starting to see how much effort has gone into making this. Like Steve Dymzso said it is only 99% accurate. From looking at the original reference photos I can see why, she is battered with parts missing and also being 35 years old. Enjoying putting all the tiny greeblies on, she is starting to look the business Can't wait for the next issue. Darren

Finally got issue 40 that i was missing. Just waiting on 38 & 39 Overall i am happy with the new nose cone but like other members have noted that the front windows are not all the same size. So i just cut one of the bars out on the right side, moved it, re-glued in correct position and filled with putty, then a bit of a sanding and i think she looks OK. Will do the other side and i will be happy Keep up the excellent work everyone Darren
