Need to remove glued parts Options

I do not know how it happened but my measurements are off by 10mm in placing the two front gun bases on the deck.javascript:insertsmiley('Cursing ','/images/emoticons/msp_cursing.gif') I have removed glue before from the hull when I installed the wrong frame part but given where the gun bases are placed I am not sure if steam will not cause more harm then good. Does anyone have any other suggestions. FYI, it is wood glue that I used.

Hi Dan, am not able to see your picture unfortunately but rather than steam and providing you have used wood glue then I would try hot water, applying around the glued area using a small paint brush, that should soften the glue enough to enable you to remove the offending part without causing to much trouble to the surrounding area.

I agree with Alan use a brush to get the hotish water under the gun bases it should free them with out too much trouble
