Issue 39
Your parts: Battery charger.
This is the battery charger that will be used to charge Robi's battery's make sure you read the safety instructions and then store it for future use.

Issue 40
Your parts: Power board and rear panel.
The power board is a delicate part and is best stored in its bubble pack until needed.
Save all unused parts for future use.

Issue 41
Your parts: CPU support, removal tool, power cable and screws.
Saved parts: You will be using parts from the previous issues, so be sure to have these to hand before beginning: Battery ,charger,rear panel,power board and sponge pads.
Take the hip panel and line up the power cable with the central slot push it home so it sits flush and secure with two 5mm screws. Make sure to check the central pin on the cable sits centrally in the power jack hole.
Next take the power board and add three protective pads so that they cover the solder joints on its rear face. Now hold the board so the three sockets are at the rear and add the power cable to the right side socket then add the battery pack to the left socket leaving the central socket empty. Plug the charger jack into the charger socket then plug it into the mains and charge the battery. The first charge should only take around 20 minutes any charge after this one will take around an hour.
After the battery has been charged disconnect the charger then remove the battery and power cable from the power board. Once all are disconnected store them safely in there protective plastic bags and store safely.

Issue 42
Your parts: SD card.
The SD card provided with this issue contains a test program that will test the movement of parts already assembled, the first test will start in the next pack and test future assembly's. This card is small and easily lost so store it safely until it is needed.

Pack 12 contains issues 43-46.
Issue 43
Your parts: CPU board.
Saved parts: You will be using parts from the previous issues, so be sure to have these to hand before beginning: Right arm assembly,SD card,Battery and screws.
The CPU board. Take the CPU board and insert the SD card into the slot making sure it clicks in place, next take the arm assembly and line up the CPU board with the two holes on the inner body panel. Fix the board in place using two M2 x 4 mm pan head screws.
Connecting and testing the right arm . Now it is time to test the arm assembly but be aware that the minute you attach the power that the arm assembly will start moving.
Place the servo cable from the shoulder and place it into the right arm socket on the CPU board which is the third socket away from the SD card. Once it is connected take the battery and connect it to the CPU board Robi's will now go through a set sequence of movements ;- arm will go to start position, forearm will move out and in and go back to start then the shoulder will move the arm forward and back then return to start.
As long as there is power the above sequence will continue when you are satisfied all is working correctly detach the battery.
If the arm will not work or only partially works then this may mean there is a faulty connection and may involve striping down the arm and resetting the ID numbers but before you do anything check the battery is fully charged and the connection to the CPU board is sound.
If the problem persists then follow the trouble shooting guide included in the magazine to get Robi's arm working correctly.

Issue 44
Your parts: Servo motor.
Saved parts: You will be using parts from the previous issues, so be sure to have these to hand before beginning: Right and left arm assembly's, test board, battery, CPU support, white ankle tape and 135 mm servo cable.
Preparing the servo. Take the servo and remove the cover then attach the 135 mm servo cable making sure a pad is fitted if you have not already done so and then replace the cap. Next we will set the servo's ID number which is 10 but firstly we will test the servo by attaching it to the test board and pushing the test button. The servo shaft should move left and right.
Setting the ID number. By now the process setting the ID number should be familiar but if your still unsure then refer back to previous stages to recap this process, the Id number for this servo is 10.
The ankle tape. Take the white tape and place it around the servo.
Testing the left arm. Firstly remove the CPU board from the right arm and attach it to the CPU support using the same screws, you will also find the battery can be mounted on the support board too. Place the servo cable from the left arm in the 4th slot along from the SD card making sure it is seated correctly. Connect the battery and Robi's arm should start sequencing in the same way that the right arm did.
As long as there is power the sequence of movements will continue, when you are satisfied all is working correctly detach the battery.
If the arm will not work or only partially works then this may mean there is a faulty connection and may involve striping down the arm and resetting the ID numbers but before you do anything check the battery is fully charged and the connection to the CPU board is sound.

Issue 45
Your parts: Left sole, foot cover and screws.
Saved parts: You will be using parts from the previous issues, so be sure to have these to hand before beginning: Taped servo,battery, CPU board, ankle frame,side panel and joint.
Fitting the foot servo. Take the left sole and line up the ankle servo making sure the servo cable follows along the groove and that the cable is not kinked or pulled to hard when you do this. Next take the ankle joint and add it to the ankle frame on the sole, once all is in position fix the whole assemble together using four M2.6 X 6 mm screws.
Fitting the ankle servo. Next take the servo cable and firstly run it through the hole in the ankle joint and lastly through the square hole in the ankle frame. Remove the cover from the taped servo and attach the cable from the foot servo then fit the servo to the ankle frame assembly making sure that none of the cables are caught or pinched before it is secured with its four screws.
Testing the ankle and foot servo's. Attach the foot servo assembly to the second slot away from the SD card. Place the foot on a flat surface and attach the battery Robi's foot will start to sequence by going to its start position then going left and right and back to the start position next you should see the servo shaft on the ankle servo move from side to side.
As long as there is power the sequence of movements will continue, when you are satisfied all is working correctly detach the battery.
If the foot will not work or only partially works then this may mean there is a faulty connection and may involve striping down the foot and resetting the ID numbers but before you do anything check the battery is fully charged and the connection to the CPU board is sound.
If the problem persists then follow the trouble shooting guide included in the magazine to get Robi's foot working correctly.
Fitting the foot cover. Place the foot cover onto the sole making sure that it is seated correctly and no servo cables are pinched or caught. Once it is correctly place fix it in position using three M2 x 7 mm countersunk screws. Next take the ankle panel and fix it in place using two M2 x 6 mm screws.

Issue 46
Your parts: Left outer and inner leg frames,servo cable and screws.
Saved parts: You will be using parts from the previous issues, so be sure to have these to hand before beginning:foot assemble, pads, CPU board, battery and right leg assembly.
Fitting the lower leg frame. Take the inner and outer leg frame parts and use two M2 x 6 mm screws to fix them together then line up the frame with the foot assembly and making sure the 'D' sections are aligned push them together. You can also place a pad on the cable or leave it until the cable is fitted.
You can also retest the the servo movements at this stage now that the leg frame is fitted if there is a problem then read the troubleshooter section to rectify the problem before proceeding.
Testing the right leg. Take the right leg assembly and attach the servo cable to the connector closest to the SD card on the CPU board then connect the battery. Again the leg will start sequencing starting by going to its start position then the foot servo will move the leg inwards and back to its start position, next the ankle leg and thigh servo's will sequence and return to the start position.
As long as there is power the above sequence will continue when you are satisfied all is working correctly detach the battery.
If the leg will not work or only partially works then this may mean there is a faulty connection and may involve striping down the leg and resetting the ID numbers but before you do anything check the battery is fully charged and the connection to the CPU board is sound.
If the problem persists then follow the trouble shooting guide included in the magazine to get Robi's leg working correctly.
