Just an update on the progress of the wings.
Ailerons made, checked for size but not stuck, lights installed and working, panels fitted as shown. Now for the underside and the undercarriage.

Hi Tony, Kev and Alan,

Thanks for following my build and your comments.
I'm enjoying this build a lot and learning new techniques as I go, metal skinning is very new to me and sometimes I struggle to get a really good fit, but I think it's ok so far.

Regards Alec

The main thing is that you're enjoying the experience Alec, which is what it's all about and as you say, learning new techniques along the way, which will only get easier with practice.

Well done again on your build so far - looking good!!

You're flying along with this second time round Alec.

I've just been zooming in on your wing, I'm rather impressed at the metal work and the finish you've achieved with it. Great job

Here's an update,

All plates now fitted except where access is still required.

Landing gear servo fitted and now working ok, I had a problem which I struggled with but thanks to Mr T (who is on holiday) and customer services (the lovely Mioshi) it is now sorted. I received a replacement within 3 days, good eh!

To all those who are watching my build, thank you, it is good to get feedback.

Glad you sorted your servo problem Alec and she's looking good, especially in the shot from beneath with the wheels down - looks like your Spitfire is about to drop onto the runway!!
