Hi.
With issue 10 at step 10-I, I found that my hinge plate (10-4) cannot be screwed onto the left door. From the pictures, the screw hole for this plate is further forward than it should be on the door itself.
Anybody else find the same problem?

Typheous, can you please post some pics of the hinge and door parts to try to see if the parts you have been supplied are wrong in any way. I have not heard of any trouble in this area but lets take a lookBigGrin

I scratched the paint off the door so it would stand out silver. The hole on the door is too far forward.
If you compare the location of the hole with the pictures in edition 10 (steps 10- G to 10-I), it becomes clear.

It's not something that has posed a problem to anyone else as mentioned at post #2, therefore it could be that you have received a rogue part.

Looking at the hinge plate you have posted I would say it is definitely a rogue part as it should be more of a T shape, have a look at post #42 here http://forum.model-space...sts&t=17857&p=3 to see what I mean.

Unfortunately in any manufacturing process there will always be faults, but if you give customer services a ring they will happily send a replacement Cool

So, my emails to service@jacklin.co.za and customercare@deagostini.co.za since the beginning of the month are being ignored. One automated response only and I have proof of delivery on the emails. Nice customer service! My subscription will be cancelled and I will take this to the consumer council.

So I must phone them because they cannot answer on email (which is supplied on the link you posted)?
Just wondering how I am going to explain the issue over the phone when it is so much clearer with the photos supplied in the email?
That is not customer service.

I personally have found it easier and quicker to phone and explain the problem and then they always send a replacement with a few days to a week at most.

I can understand your frustration, a quick phone call and this could be all sorted in minutes
