Hi All
Made a start on this today, you begin by making up the fuselage jig by adding the tail piece and then two stringers are added to the bottom of the jig to give strength and support. I will be using stain on the wood parts instead of painting them to look like wood. Next the two wing spars are added after some etch sheathes were added followed by the rest of the fuselage formers and more jig supports.
The cast metal fire wall was cleaned up and painted and then inserted into the forward part of the jig. Next the upper jig is added to square the top to the bottom. The four fuslage corner stringers were next added by inserting them into the pre-cast holes in the fire wall and the cut outs at the tail. Once everything was checked to be true the stringers were glued to the formers.
More strengtheners were added to the cockpit area along with more etch parts. Next the forward tailplain was made up with the ribs being added first then the etch leading edge and finally the trailing edge made from 1.5mm wire.
The instructions now start to assemble and paint the cockpit fittings like the joy stick, control elements and the pilots chair which is assembled from 4 parts. The oil and fuel tanks are also assembled here as you see there still being prepared for painting/
More soon.

Great start Andy. The jig system looks like a fine addition to create a wonderful model. I got to see the kit contents close-up at Telford today and the parts look top quality. Looking forward to the next update. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Hi All
The upper jig is now removed having done its job and things start getting added to the cockpit. Spending time preparing the cast parts here removing burr/casting lines improves the look of the parts before painting can commence.
The first parts added are the fuel tank, main control bar and the joystick is in turn glued to this bar. Next the magnetto's are added to the rear face of the firewall along with the carburetta tube.
The two foot plates were added next then the chair had the seatbelt's added and then fitted into the cockpit. The seatbelt tethering lines were next tied in place. Various instruments were made up and added around the cockpit seat/sides. Still more to be added here.
More soon.
