So I have finally started to build my Falcon..

I have spent many many hours looking at other builds to see what is the best way to approach this build but I'm still feeling my way through it.

I am planning on building the upper and lower hills with detailing and then painting a new base colour then complete the build and follow up with weathering once the Falcon is almost complete.

Well that's the current plan.

As soon as I sort out photo hosting I will post progress pictures.

So i think i have sorted out image sizes .....

These are a few of the Lower hull as I said above i am building each hull section so i can paint complete sections.

These sections seem to go together really well apart from a few small adjustments when placing the hull plates on.

This required loosening off the small black screws on the frame sections to allow a small amount of movement and then screwing them back up.

I may add some hot glue to the frame as Steve done in his painting tutorials he did.

Installing the Ramp...

I had a few fitting issues with the ramp it just didn't want to sit flush in the hull section however after a bit of re-positioning of the hull sections it did go in..

I'm working on the upper hull section tonight and as with the lower section everything is going together really well but my only complaint is The Screwdriver !!!! Its awful.

I'm shocked that this has come with such a poor Tool.

But apart from that the kit is excellent.

Any good replacement recommendations as I'll need to find something this week so I can get to the hull painting stage :)

Managed to find a good replacement screwdriver so I'm cracking on with my build.

I am looking at the main floor section and would like to add a bit more detail to this area so I'm going to kit bash a few bits but wounder if anyone can point me in the right direction for replacement floor grill covers so I can cut out the access panels and replace them ??

Or am I going to have to replace the whole floor ??

Just trying to keep the additional costs under control.

I have been working on getting the hull sections ready for painting, I have the upper and lower sections in place but i am still adding detail and building the inset sections.

I have been looking at how to install the side panels and was concerned about gluing them in place as this would make removing them almost impossible if i needed to get into the hull.

I came across a build where the guy had use magnets to hold the side sections in place so I may look at that as an option.
