These are the first parts of the build but the second step, the first step was to build its building base. Yep this models comes with its own base to build on and you need it So step 1 and 2 together. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

Step 7 The ribs, there is a small line burnt into the wood, from what I can make out you have to sand these down to the line. Step 8-9 Start to build the transom. Step 10 add more supports. Step 11 add the upper supports My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

Step 12-13 Add more supports again. Step 14 start to add all the ribs. They also give you little blocks to add between the ribs, I'll add these once the ribs are in so I can get them all level. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

Worked out a way to install the frames and the spacers at the same time. I added a small wedge, so each time I added a frame I removed some of the wedge, so keeping pressure on the ribs while the glue set. My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

Step 14 was to install the second from last rib, Step 15 instructed you to remove the unit from the cradle and install the final rib but I added that while it was still in the cradle. Step 16-17 had you install a piece of planking to the inside, I finally worked out that this was only temporally there to hols the rims together while you sand it all down My Favourite Building:- 1919 https://forum.model-spac...=339517&#post339517 -

Ohhhhhh, I dunno.... Sure! Also, a woodworking trick for you; if you brush a bit of acetone on the laser char, the acetone breaks down the carbon, and makes it super easy to remove.

I’ve ordered the mid section, I’m hoping they do a bow section as it would look great if all the parts where put together like one complete ship. Thanks for the info on the acetone. But I sometimes prefer to leave the burn marks, it helps me when sanding down. Once the burn marks are gone I should be ok for the shape.
