I display my pictures directly from my webspace and over the years this has all worked fine. However, it appears that my pictures are no longer displaying in Chrome.
Could someone take a look at this please and confirm it is a problem and whether it can be fixed?
Many thanks.

Hi John. I'm using Chrome and your photo appears fine on my screen. (I do often have to reload pages to get the pics up, even on my own diary pages but I think most everyone has that problem!) Robin. Thanks Robin
I'm even more confused now. I have literally just downloaded Chrome, looked at this post in the forum and I can't see the picture above.

Yes I know. That's why I use my own websapce for my pics so that members here don't have that problem.

.jpg) I have checked and I am only seeing the image on internet explore and edge. It is not showing up in chrome. The image also fails to show when I include it in my posts. After checking the chrome dev console it appears that the forum is throwing a mixed content error it is trying to use a https connection rather than the requested http and the server hosting the image does not support it and is returning an error. Allowing insecure content can be turned on in chrome site settings and the image will display but each user would have to do it. The only way to solve the issue for everyone would be to host the images on a server that supports https

Brilliant Michael.
Many thanks and well done for working this out.
I use this web space just for personal stuff and so have no desire to pay £5 per month for a SSL.
At least we know now.
Admin, would it be possible to just use http as the request rather than https?

Hi John,
To address your last point first, I’m afraid it isn’t a possibility. Image loading has been the bane of this platform for ages. Is more a function of the creaky old platform than anything else.

Thanks for responding Mark although I am not surprised at your answer. The problems seem to be piling up.
