W.I.P. Started the tamiya 1/32 zero with photo etch, must admit the photo etch is a pain, the bits I dont lose end up falling off, not my cup of tea at all. Anyhow had a go at some of the cockpit and some of the engine, haven't quite got the weathering up and running to my taste yet but practice may make perfect. Stopped bothering with a lot of the photo etch in the cockpit I was making more of a mess with the super glue, haven't got much time at the mo but here`s a few pictures of where I'm at Willz willz attached the following image(s):

Looks great, and nice to see another diary Yep Photo etch can be a bit fiddly. if you are struggling with the supper glue try PVA you can thin with water and much easier to remove if necessary. Like the weathering and the engine looks fantastic!! cant wait to see more! “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Looks good Willz. Loving the paint work on the engine, looks perfect. Could have thought it had been stripped right out of an aircraft if it wasn't spindled on a paintbrush? Regards, Dafydd. Current Builds: DeAgostini Akagi DeAgostini Yamato

I'm happy with the engine kryten2b its the weathering on the cockpit that I'm finding a bit on the not sure side, its sort of like when to stop and say thats it, although I've switched from acrylic washes to oil paint and thinners, at first it looks a lot messier but you can slowly remove it with a damp brush so in that way you have more control. Thanks to everyone for the kind comments, much appreciated Willz

Hi Spencer, just seen this post. Not much done at all, sort of been boxed at stashed for now, heres a pic of the engine and as you can see only the retaining bands and front spindle added. I dont really have anywhere to set up the spray gun up in a organised fashion at the moment. The model itself was kind of like an impulse buy (I`m sure you know what I mean) so like I said all stashed for now. Cheers Spencer willz attached the following image(s):

Thats a great looking engine build there, plenty of weathering without being overdone. Keep up the good work. Regards Bob Builds in progress
