STAGE 62:

Windscreen:

Pic 1: Retrieve the body assembly and place it upside down.
Fit the screen, part 62A in place from the inside and secure using 4 x NM screws at the top along the front edge of the roof and 4 x NM screws at the bottom, along the scuttle.

Pic 2: Peel the backing paper from the reflective mirror, part 62C and fit it inside the mirror body, part 62B.

Pic 3: Carefully press the assembled mirror in place in the location point on the windscreen.

Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 63:

Front bonnet/hood.

Pic 1: Fit the hinges, parts 2 x 63B to the inside front edge of the bonnet, part 63A. Both hinges are the same.
Make sure you fit them the correct way around according to the picture.
Fix using 2 x KM screws in each hinge.

Pic 2: Fit the left hydraulic arm bracket, part 63C to its location on the left side of the bonnet. The part is marked with a small ‘L’ but it will only fit one way anyway.
Fix using 1 x AM screw.

Pic 3: Fit the right hydraulic arm bracket, part 63D to its location on the right side of the bonnet. The part is marked with a small ‘R’ but it will only fit one way anyway.
Fix using 1 x AM screw.

Pic 4: Fit the two bonnet support arms, parts 2 x 63E to the brackets, noting that the narrow end of the arm is closest to the bracket.
Fix them in place using 1 x PM screw in each from the outside of the bracket.

Store the assembly safely for now

STAGE 64:

Completing and fitting the front bonnet/hood.

Pic 1: Fit the bonnet catch and hood light cover to the bonnet frame – parts 64B, 64C and 64A.
NOTE: The printed instructions show the light cover to be rectangular but the actual part has one end open.
The cover must be fitted with the opening on the right.

Pic 2: Fit the LED and wire, part 64D into place as shown and secure it with pieces of tape, part 64E.

Pic 3: Fit the assembled frame to the inside of the metal bonnet, part 63A and secure using 7 x AM screws.

Pic 4: Fit the bonnet in place on the car body with the light wire and hinges inside the frame.
You might find it advantageous to apply a piece of low-tack masking tape to keep the bonnet closed for the next step.

Pic 5: Turn the whole assembly over and fix the hinges to the main frame using 4 x AM screws.

Pic 6: Shows the completed stage.

Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 65A:

Luggage compartment.

Pic 1: Fit the two edge strips, parts 65B and 65C to the luggage compartment tray, part 65A.
Note that one end of each strip is angled. Make sure you fit them the right way round.

Pic 2: Once the strips are in place secure them with 3 x BP screws from behind, for each strip.

Pic 3: Fit the lock, part 65D to the rear inside of the tray and fix with 2 x GP screws.
The part will only fit one way.

Pic 4: Fit the tank, part 65E into the opening in the rear right of the tray.
You may find it easier to fit from the outside.

Pic 5: Secure the part from underneath using 2 x GP screws.

Pic 6: Fold and loop the spare wheel belt, part 65F as shown in the picture.

STAGE 65B:

Pic 7: Fix the belt inside the spare wheel well using 1 x GP screw.
The part will only fit one way.

Pic 8: Retrieve the main body shell and place it upside down.
Fit the luggage tray into the front section and fix it with 4 x DM screws.

Pics 9, 10, 11 and 12: Open the bonnet and extend the two support arms so they will reach the locating holes in the sides of the luggage tray.
Fit the ball joint end into the hole and secure from inside the wheel arch using 1 x DP screw in each.

Pic 13: Shows the completed stage.

Store the assembly safely for now.

STAGE 66A:

Pics 1 & 2: Fit the springs onto the 4 x door catch posts, parts 66E and 66F.

Pics 3, 4 & 5: Fit the assembled spring and catch into the locations on the inside of the central roof panel on the main body.
The springs will locate against a retaining rib and the catch will fit in a stepped position in the roof.

Fit the 4 x tabs 66G over the catch and spring and secure using 2 x AM screws in each.

STAGE 66B:

Pic 6: Shows the part of the body you will be working on next.

Pic 7: Fit the small ‘T’ shaped pin, part 66C into the location on the edge of the door shut.

Pic 8: Fit the white wire switch block, part 66H into the retainer, part 66A.
This part looks the same as part 66B, but they are handed and will only fit on one side of the car body. Check the screw hole in the part to see the difference.

Pic 9: Feed the wire through the hole in the left side of the body and fit the retaining block in place, securing it with 1 x AM screw.
Take care not to dislodge the previously fitted small ‘T’ part, 66C.

Pics 10 & 11: Repeat the steps using the brown wire, 66I, retainer 66B and pin 66C.
Fit the parts to the right side of the body and fix with 1 x AM screw.

Pic 12: Turn the body upside down and fit the wires down the inside of the body sides behind the door apertures.
Fit them in place using the tabs 4 x 66D and fix using 2 x AM screws in each.

Store the assembly safely for now.
