Hi all,

I just thought I'd post this here as I would like Capt Stedders opinion and others if you want too. These Cannons are made of metal and are terrrible. I had to file the things down to get rough bits off and to highlight the edges so are not rounded. I tried to Simulate wood with paint as my build is a natural boat. Please comment as I've never done wood simulation before.. Metal is easy with Alcad paints but wood is a whole different thing..

On the bench

1/350 Revell Tirpitz Platinum Edition (Pontos PE and Wooden deck) plus extra Eduard PE set and extra MK1 door sets.

Looks great,i have simulated wood onto metal by using a product called Mister Surface.Brush on then stipple for a cast finish on metal or dry brush for a grain effect as in wood.
