Good to see, but lets hope its not too little to late. Should something kick off I fear we could be found seriously wanting. Blink

The BBC are broadcasting a behind-the-scenes look at HMS Queen Elizabeth from the start of construction to the carrier’s commissioning.

It will be aired in three parts – with the first being broadcast on BBC Two at 8pm on Sunday 15 April 2018.

Britain would never be able to deploy new aircraft carriers on a mission to retake the Falklands because they will always need to be protected by allied planes and ships....

The Westland 18 sea trials will be underway within the next few days. We watched the Merlin's leave RNAS Culdrose today and they landed on the Queen Elizabeth this morning. They have them now tucked away in the hangars.

Was a great sight to see them over our 11 days here now they embark their next mission in getting our carriers operational.

Lizzie docks in Norfolk, Virginia. The last time it will dock without having a F-35 being onboard. So time is here....

Some strange Queen Elizabeth/F35 facts...

Lt Cdr Blackmore RN flew the last fast jet off a British Warship in 2010. Now Cdr Blackmore RN he will oversee F35ondeck 🇬🇧 as Head of the Air Department.

Capt Kyd RN was in Command when the last fast jet left Ark Royal. Soon to join the Admiralty he will be in Command for F35ondeck🇬🇧

And one more.

Lt Cdr Gray landed the last Harrier in 2011. Now Cdr Gray RN he will land the first F35ondeck🇬🇧

As I was journeying further up into Scotland on Monday I couldn't resist stopping at Queensferry and using my longer camera lens take a couple of pics of HMS Prince of Wales as she is being fitted out.
