Stage 39 - Contains ribs 23 & 24, valves, cylinder castings, gun magazine & bar casting, and the flap bulkhead.

Prepare and label ribs 23 and 24 as before.

Cut and prepare six lengths of truss: a 3mm, 5mm, 9.5mm and an 11mm length, plus two 10mm lengths.

Cut and prepare six lenths of tube: a 3mm, 4mm, 6.5mm and 8mm length, plus two 7mm lengths. When shaping the ends of the 3 and 4mm lengths, only flatten 1mm in from each end.

Fit the truss and tube to ribs 23 and 24 in the locations shown in the steps, then fit these into position in the starboard wing frame.

Remove ribs 3-11 from the wingframe, then position the flap bulkhead as shown, and whilst holding the flap bulkhead in place, refit rib #5 into place, followed by ribs 3 & 4, then 6-11.

Remove any burrs from the cylinder casting and taps, then assemble the cylinder halves and paint the cylinder fitting in your chosen guise.

Assemble the machine gun castings as before and paint the assembly black
Cut four taps from the fret, glue one tap to the top of each of the cylinders already within the cockpit framework, and glue the fourth tap onto the the cylinder just assembled, then glue th cylinder assembly in the framework as shown.

That's its for this stage, carefully store the remaining taps.

Stage 41 - Contains battery storage box castings and three LED lamps.

Remove any burrs from the battery box castings, then glue the halves together and finish in your chosen guise.
Glue the unit towards the rear of the fuselage section as shown in the steps.

The LED and fuel tank installation is a repeat of the port wing assembly.

Prepare the starboard wing as before, by removing 3 and 4mm lengths from the two indicated ribs.

Remove all the ribs from the wing and finish in your chosen guise. Carefully identify each rib number using the rib plan.

Paint the three LED's as before, then locate each and each of the ribs back onto the wingframe, and adding the fuel tank before adding ribs 6-1.

Ensure that the wiring is routed as indicated and test all three lamps before and after installation.

Thats it for this week, carefully store the front of rib #7 and rib #26.

Stage 43 - Contains the starboard landing gear housing, ribs 6.5 & 7.5, upper strut parts, radio casting and a length of rod.

The assembly of the strut is a repeat of that previously made. Remove any burrs from the castings then paint and assemble the strut as before.

Remove any burrs from the radio casting then paint cockpit green and highlight the controls as shown. Then position and glue the radio casting into the cockpit as shown.

Take the hinge sprue, then cut the hinge parts from it.

Make three 2mm hinge pins from the supplied rod and taper the end of each as shown which will assist with placement.

Fit each of the hinges in turn onto the port wing, starting with the large hinge, position in place then gently nip the hinge together using pliers so that it holds in place.

Fit a hinge securing pin into the hole of the hinge so that it sits evenly, then crush the tapered end with pliers which should retain the pin.

Repeat with the medium and small hinges.

That's it for this week, carefully store the wheel assembly and remaining parts.

Stage 45 - Contains the landing gear box & generator castings, fittings and hinges.

Remove any burrs from the air intake parts, then prime and paint as shown, and then glue the two parts together. Then install the air intake into the cockpit as shown.

The assembly of the right wing flap is a repeat of the left wing flap assembly, so no need to repeat the steps here. You will need to retrieve the flap template provided at stage 33 and also the stage 44 hinges.

Install the wing flap into the right (starboard) wing as before.
