Leclerc is now done (I will post some pics soon). So I thought I would have a go at something with wheels for a change!!BigGrin LOL Blink
I am also building a 1:16 T-34/85 which I will post up shortly, but it is a very intense project, so I am building other things in between to break up the major build!!BigGrin

Hi Andy,
Which kit did you get? The Dragon one has some glaring faults with it and the detail is not as in depth as the Trumpeter kit. I have both the Trumpeter kits in my stash, the transport version, which I will be doing with a loco, and the combat version, which I have got the Trumpeter munitionsschlepper.
Looking forward to seeing your build start!!!!BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin BigGrin

BigGrin Hi unhinged
I got the Dragon kit with the free crew and yes it has some problems around the wheel mounting positions being wrong as far as I have read, after I got it I found the Trumpeter kits and liked the transport version but not its priceCrying ,as for the combat version with the munitionsschleper another great kit as the supply tank is hard to find I have only come across a scratch built one on a Dutch forum, apparently there were 3 supply tanks per mortar as they could on carry 4 rounds each. I have also got the full 4 part Big Ed etch kit for the mortar, decks ,railings , main mortar and the masks .As for the tracks I will be getting Fruil but there are two available a late and early version so il wait for the kit to arrive before I decide
regards
Andy

Hi Andy. This is the Munitionsschelpper kit I will be using. Only 1 though as I am tight on space!!LOL BigGrin

If they give you the option like Trumpeter do, you should be able to build both versions, and if you have the Big Edd kit aswell then it is going to be a stunning build!!BigGrin Looking forward to seeing it!!BigGrin

Right, on with the show! This is my build but due to problems with IP address................blah blah.....................

This is the camo scheme I am going to be doing!!

Or this!

Made a start on the cab. Loads of clean up to do on this kit.Cursing  Later kits are much crisper with the moldings. It does come with a nice P.E set though!LOL BigGrin
I will be building it along the lines of the instructions, but it will also be done for ease of painting, so I will make up the assemblies and paint them, then build them onto the main cab and chassis.

Engine is built. It came with wire to make the injector pipes but it was too thick to allow the manifolds to fit,Blink so I used some thinner gauge.BigGrin Yes the engine is that colour,LOL although I will be painting it as its not ALL that colour!!!Flapper BigGrin

I have modified the front suspension so that the steering is movable. I have to also modify the steering damper yet, as that is one piece and will not allow movement.

Chassis is built up and some parts primed and ready for paint. The front chassis rail has not been glued yet to allow the engine to be fitted.
