Stage 38 - Contains boiler steps, whistle, sand dome lid and fixings.

Identify the correct orientation of the boiler steps, then secure them to both sides of the boiler with two 2x4mm screws into the top of each.

Retrieve the steam pipe provided with stage 32, glue it in place as shown.

Take the step stread plate, and glue it to the tops of the boiler step assembly.

Take the whistle, fit it into the remaining hole on the side of the sand dome, then glue it from the inside so that the whistle is upright.

Take the sand dome lid parts. Slude the lock bar through the rectangular slot of the lid, then fit a1.4x6mm screw through the lock bar hole and through the lid, secure on the opposite side with a nut. It would be an idea to secure the nut with thread lock.

Glue the lid assembly into the forward hole of the sand dome, then insert a 3x6mm screw into the pocket hole of the lid base, then secure the the sand dome on top of the boiler with the screw.

Fit and glue the bar holder in place at the front of the sand dome.

Stage 39 - Contains the boiler sand pipes and fittings.

Carefully identify the front, middle and rear pairs of sand pipes, and also which pipe is for the right and left side of the boiler.

Take the left pipes, insert them into the holes in the bottom of each tap located on the sand dome. Route the pipes as shown in the instructions, then temporarily secure each with masking tape. Repeat the process to fit sand pipes onto the right side.

Turn the boiler upside down and take one of the three pipe holders.

Position the holder as shown in the instructions, then fit the holder onto the ends of the front pipes, then align the central hole with that of the boiler, and secure the holder with a 2x4mm screw.

Use the instructions as a guide to fit the middle and rear holders, noting the orientation shown in the instructions.

When all pipes are secure, apply glue to the tops of the pipes, securing them to the taps, then peel off the masking tape.

Take the six pipe brackets. Fit and glue three brackets over the left side pipes, positioning each bracket as shown in the instructions. Repeat to fit the brackets onto right side pipes.
